It was not the first time I used agoda to book a hotel and so far there was no problem but once I had some trouble I have to say the customer service was terrible. I travel a lot private and for my work. Its very seldom I have to change the date or cancel a booking but this time I had to do both first changing the date and than canceling the booking. It was for free which I think is a nice offer but once you advertize it it should work. Maybe because of the change in date before there was a bug in the software because when I canceled the booking with typing in the reason the cancellation went well without any error message. I was than super surprised when I got the information than the booking was still active and I have to pay the full hotel prize of 200US$. The customer service behaves super confident and just ignored my explanation. I never had this problem with competitors of agoda and don't know how they would react in this situation but I really disliked the attitude of agoda costumer service and will try to avoid to use them in future!
