I enquired initially about a Caribbean cruise for this winter which we normally do every year. We have done numerous cruises over the years at this time with various different companies which means we have experienced most of the ports of call around the Caribbean. We spoke with Robin when we called, who we have to say made the whole process so much easier than previous bookings. He listened to all of our requirements and took a real interest in what we have done in the past which made a real difference. We ended up booking a Hawaii cruise they have on offer at the moment which worked out cheaper per person than we normally pay for the Caribbean believe it or not. It was something we hadn't even considered before because we assumed it was out of our price range so we are ecstatic and now counting down the days until we go.
There was one slight gripe, the fact they charge 2% on credit card payments, but i've since done some research and it seems to be typical of most travel companies in this day and age. It was only on the deposit anyway so not the end of the world, and they did say that there is no charge for debit cards so at least they give an option. We get free travel insurance through our credit which works out cheaper than the 2% so its swings and roundabouts i suppose.
All in all it has probably been the most informed and efficient cruise booking to date, i think some of the larger companies could learn alot from the way 118 Cruise do business and realize that its not all about the best price but also that good service goes a long way.
