I had an interview this morning. A very important appointment for me, obviously. And I left home one hour early, even if I had plenty of time to catch a bus and arrive on time in about half an hour.
If the bus was on time.
But it wasn't, as usual. That's why I left so early, because I can never rely on the buses.
This morning was even worst than usual.
I waited 35 minutes at the Mere Way bus stop for the number 1 to show up, when it was due in 10 minutes, because I missed the previous one for a minute, seeing it going away.
35 minutes against 10 scheduled made me call a taxi, spend 7.60£ when I already paid 12.50£ for a Megarider, while 4 buses went on the opposite direction.
I don't have a car and I prefer the public transport when I can't use my bike, but this is beyond any reasonable delay due to the normal traffic.
