A Vile Service

I've user trains for over 10 years and have travelled on most services in the country. Travelling South from Manchester is never a problem, you can go anywhere with little fuss. Travelling in Lancashire is a very different story however, if you really need to be somwhere you had better set out an hour earlier, as it's very likely the train will be late or cancelled. The Blackburn to Manchester service is an example, I don't know where those punctuality figures come from, but there's no indication of any punctuality what-so-ever on this line. Half of the trains are repainted rotten corpses of Leyland buses that most people won't even remember being on the roads, yet it's still acceptable in rail travel? Each year the price goes up 50p-£1 for a return journey to Manchester, but the service is much worse than 10 years ago. HS2??? The government need to focus on sorting them out! What's the point of travelling 15 mins quicker to London when people can't travel 20 miles to Manchester without constant delays and cancellations.
