I booked a train journey from Edinburgh to Dewsbury for the 31st of October 2016. On arriving at Edinburgh I checked out how much an upgrade to First Class would be ( another 65 GBP.) It was early so I thought , nice breakfast , Tea, comfortable seats . How wrong was I ?

The carriage must have been 20+ years old, seats threadbare. Then !!!. No full breakfast, A sausage and egg muffun or a Croissant, the tea didn’t even come in a proper cup !!!, a paper cup with a tea bag slung in it !!!

Im not even at Berwick and I feel ripped off . 160 GBP This ( one way) journey has cost me . I could have flown to Manchester and taken a train from there for 85 .
