“Train Managers Are All Ex East German Stasi”

I traveled from Birmingham New Street to Plymouth. The Train Manager which is just a jumped up title for "Guard" must have been trained by the former communist state even though he had a West Country accent and a beard. He was more interested in scrutinising every ticket and picking up on any minor infraction so he could issue an over the top priced penalty fare.
He seemed to take great pleasure in what he was doing. Even Ryanair don't try to screw you over as much once your onboard!!!
