Completely unreliable. My boiler was not working so I phoned them and they said they could come 12 - 5 that day. Called them just after 1pm to see if I could get a better idea of time and they didn't call back as promised. Rang again for an update half an hour later and again no call back until another half an hour later, when they said their engineer was running late and they couldn't come until the following afternoon. And this was for a repair to a boiler they had serviced only a few weeks before. Avoid them.

We had an issue with the boiler not igniting and so no hot water or heating. I called PGS who attended the same day. The engineer diagnosed the problem fairly quickly (within the hour) and informed me a part would be needed that he could pick up and return to fit the next morning (as unfortunately it was late in the day and parts stockists shut). He carried out the repair as promised the next day, calling ahead to inform me of the cost to make sure I was happy. The full repair was completed in under two hours of labour and included a gas safety test which was documented. The part was charged on at retail price - which I verified. Additionally, the engineer was able to do a quick smoke check of my chimney/gas fire as this had never been used since we moved in and gave some valuable advice regarding repairs required to the chimney at no extra charge. The engineer was friendly at all times and kept me informed. Overall very happy with the service; fast and decent value. The PGS hourly rate is a touch higher than some, however their clear emailed invoicing, and the speed of visit was worth this, plus the cover of a larger firm was worth this.

I have used this company three times, and their work has always been good. They have diagnosed problems accurately and swiftly, and dealt with them at a competitive price. However, PGS do have a weakness, which is why I have deducted one star: they do not fix appliances other than boilers. This is a major weakness, as problems with appliances and their gas/water/electricity supplies are often linked, or it is not clear whether the appliance or its supply are at fault. I therefore will only use PGS if I am certain the problem is with the supply rather than the appliance.

We were dealt with politely, the tradesman arrived swiftly did the job well and was helpful and polite throughout the process. The Office kept us informed as to the estimated time of arrival etc. Which is important when there is a problem which needs attention.

A blocked loo is never. Pleasant experience! It's one of those awkward and unexpected occurrences that leaves you rather at a loss as to what to do next. After bracing myself, I had a good go with the plunger and tried a bucket load of warm water. This only exacerbated the situation and left me queasy. I went online to find a local plumber. PGS Services was the third number I tried. I was impressed by the smooth, organised manner of the lady on the other end of the line. Better still, she gave advice on what to try and what not to. As I had already attempted both ends of this spectrum ( wished I'd called before. Best of all, the job quoted was cheaper and sooner than both of the other companies. The plumber, who arrived promptly, was both friendly and informative. He unblocked the pipe in a few short minutes, explained what the problem had been and gave advice on how to try to prevent it. All in all, extremely happy with the service from start to finish.

Not only was my on line booking request ignored but, having phoned up and arranged an appointment, the carpenter failed to show and when I rang up to find out why I was informed that the appointment had been cancelled. I was told that this was because he had had problems with his van (not even sure if I believe that or not!). No-one offered any apology for my not having been contacted and informed of the cancellation nor was a replacement secured. The member of staff I dealt with obviously had no interest in resolving the issue as she didn't phone me back as requested and when I phoned again I was told she had gone to lunch. Simply put if the quality of PGS's office management is anything to go by I wouldn't want them anywhere near any property of mine. Stay well away from this company.

We had had numerouse plumbers out to fix two loos where the push flushes weren't working. PGs had a plumber with us in no time and he researched on the web the parts having taken photos as an unusual system. The office was efficient in ordering the parts so good communications and the engineer installed quickly and tidied up afterwards and it works still thank you it was a breath of fresh air having such efficiency

Painless arrangements were spot on and price agreed in advance. Job went as planned.Could have been a number of things wrong with the flow to the shower but the problem was identified and a fix sorted.

Very quick response from this company to our plumbing problem. A very cheerful and courteous tradesman arrived within 2 hours and fixed the problem for us. He was clean and tidy and advised us how to stop the problem recurring. Very professional attitude from everyone we dealt with . Will definitely use them again for our household issue. Probably a little more expensive than some other freelance tradesmen but you know the work is guaranteed and they are reliable.

Problems = dripping wall mixer tap, dripping wall shower mixer valve, blocked hot water supply through 2nd wall shower mixer valve, in a big modern house with very complex plumbing and heating systems. Other plumbers have looked at our set-up and declined the job. PGS were fantastic from start to finish - polite, friendly, knowledgable, articulate telephone staff, responded to my enquiry very quickly and efficiently, called back when they said they would, asked intelligent questions to understand the problem - a delight to deal with ! The plumbing engineer turned up on the allotted day, at the allotted time, ringing me to confirm, half an hour ahead, as I waas told he would ! Not phased by the system, rapidly identified the solutions required, sort the tap immediately and identified the spare parts (cartridges) required to fix the two shower mixer valves, which I immediately ordered and he returned a few days later, on the allotted day, at the alloted time, with the telephone call ahead, and then he fixed it, with no fuss, and all for a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend PGS to anyone who asks me if I know of a good plumber !

I was happy with the tradesmen who did the job because they were honest and worked long hours to get the job done. I suppose pricing was competitive and I would be happy to recommend PGS to others.

They worked hard for a full day on fitting new pipework for the installation of four Victorian cast iron radiators, including manoeuvring them up several steps to get them into position. The pipework, which remains on display as I didn't want the flooring taken up, is very neat and really looks lovely. They were tidy and hovered several times during the fitting to keep mess down, and they were friendly and polite. The price was quite high, but it was an 8-hour day for two men, and no other plumbers wanted to take the job on due to the weight of the radiators.

I was very pleased with the advisor from PGS, very nice, very professional and he even helped sort my boiler out quickly when he spotted there was an issue with the pressure, free of charge. Apparently if i'd have let it continue like it was could have easily blown and cost me over a grand. Response rate was very good he arrived in 45 minutes, he kept me informed throughout of what was required and how long he thought it would take, even explained how it worked for future uissues.

When looking on line it is a mine field, but I struck lucky, office very efficient, the advisor was as well very nice man, so will recommend PGS Services to friends and keep your number in my book for further matters if arise.

Dreadful service. We called Pimlico Plumbers when our shower broke the day before our wedding. They came out and diagnosed the problem, explaining that we needed a new shower. We arranged for them to come and fit it the day we returned from honeymoon. While away I received a phone call from them saying that they needed to come again to assess the work as the plumber we'd originally seen had left the company. We arranged for them to come on the morning that we returned so they could get the parts and return that afternoon to undertake the work. They arrived at 8pm on the day we returned, over 8 hours late. They were unable to undertake the work that night, as they hadn't arrived in time to order the relevant parts. They arranged to come two days later. I received a call two days later saying they couldn't come that evening, and that the only shower that would fit would be twice the price they had quoted, but that this would mean it would fit perfectly with no extra work. They eventually fitted the shower five days after they were meant to, and the expensive shower we'd paid double for didn't fit as intended, with half a tile missing in the shower. Late, unfinished, and twice as much as quoted, and with no reasonable response to our complaints. Very unimpressed.

I don't often find justifiable reason to leave positive feedback for received services but, I've definitely found a tried and tested plumbing service with PGS. I've called upon them for help with 3 separate plumbing jobs, over the last couple of years, and found them to be very reliable, efficient, pleasant, and professional - I'd say experts in their field. Everyone I've dealt with, over the phone, and in person, has been superb in giving me confidence that the problem will be sorted. I think they offer great value for money for a job well done (with a personable and professional approach always included). That's how it should be, and PGS are doing it right. Thank you!
