Daughter phoned these clowns and told them her toilet was blocked. Two men turned up, one poked a rod down the toilet and partially unblocked it [just] Charged £90.00 said "a plumber was needed to take the toilet out" and left. I called round after work lifted the inspection cover in the garden at the rear to find it was almost completely full [of what goes down a toilet] it took me 5 min's with a spade and the hose pipe and now it's completely cleared. “Aggressive contractor/5 days awaiting callback from...”

Horrendous service. Contractor turned up with nothing but something representing a bike pump to clear drain. Did everything i had explained i had already done and when i wasnt happy with service and advised i didnt want to pay was abusive to my 17 year old daughter. “Forget 24/7 Never Again”

I had contacted Able group for changing rubber pipe to copper one for garden tap from under the sink cabinet. The cabinet was open and there was free access to the pipe work to be connected without drilling the wall.For just cutting and fixing 2 angle joint I was charged for 1 hour job £120, material £27 Vat 20% £29.40 Total £176.40 Which is 3 time higher than normal plumbers. “Customer contact centre do not listen”

Had a specific plumbing problem which i explained in great detail on the phone when i booked the appointment, and was assured that they had the equipment to fix it. The guy arrived the next morning to do something which we had already tried and did not have the equipment I discussed with the contact centre the previous day. I rang the Able Group on Tuesday as I have a broken hinge on my porch door and I can't shut the door from outside without help. Was told someone would be there between 11-5,then 8 -10pm, after 1.30 Wednesday,2.30 -4 and was told he was in Worcester and without a photo of the hinges he couldn't do it! Told 9 -11 today. “Expensive poor service”

I had a blocked toilet. I went with them as it was an emergency, overflowing toilet on Friday and it was fixed 4 days later on Tuesday. I would have been happy to pay nearly double a normal plummers' price (the emergency price), if it had been fixed in 1 day/2 days but this was not the case. Also they got confused and sent two drainage people round by mistake and they left the manhole open. I noticed this when cockroaches crawled out in my garden. I phoned this company on Tuesday on behalf of my elderly mother as she had problems turning off her kitchen sink hot water tap, there was also a problem with the pipe work underneath. This was explained to the call centre operative, I even phoned him back with information to whether it was a full turn or quarter turn tap. “Ridiculously expensive DO NOT USE”

I recently called Able Group to use their emergency locksmith service after locking myself out of the house. I agreed to the ridiculously expensive £77 I was quoted at the time out of blind panic, then waited 2 hours for them to arrive. The job itself took less than 2 minutes, and although the technician was friendly he could certainly have been less patronising about my situation! Didn't turn up on time for first appointment. When turned up left invoice for different amount to quote. Needed replacement cistern, quoted amount and I gave authorisation to go ahead. Part would be replaced 5 days later. On day found out part hadn't even been ordered. Quote doubled. 11 days since problem identified, still no toilet, no idea when will be fixed and furious tenants (rightly so). My phone bill and blood pressure through the roof. I called the company with three issues, a leaking washing machine, a toilet that wouldn't flush and a leaking kitchen sink. The engineer came at the due time, mended the washing machine and diagnosed the other faults and needed parts. He was polite, friendly and very efficient..he didn't turn up the next time he was due, and he came on time the next time and mended everything except the toilet, which he worked at for ages and couldn't do without breaking it. “Dangerous - reported to Gas Safe & Trading Standards”

An Able Group Gas Heating Engineer (who arrived several hours late) serviced our boiler and addressed an error message by replacing a valve but the error message re-appeared a day later and continued as an intermittent problem until eventually the boiler completely stopped working. Let me start by saying that the electrician that eventually came to install our electric oven was professional, efficient and friendly. The job he did was great and I cannot complain about that. There were some issues with me taking time off work and no electrician showing up because of an administrative error by the Able Group, but I am not even going to complain about that (although the problem is related to this). We had a leaking radiator in our utility room. Guy came out, utterly miserable, looked at our dog in disgust, whom my husband has gated out of the way in case he licked the guy death. £102 for 5 minutes work, but radiator started leaking again that night. Rang again the next day, woman on telephone miserable too. Same guy came out, as miserble as he was the first visit and did a basic job properly that he should have done the first time round. Firstly, don't be misled by their website claiming to be local plumbers to your area....they have cleverly designed their website to insert the name of the town in which you are searching, so it states "we are local plumbers from xxxx town". Hi, the plumber I had was certainly not what I would class as local. I will call him - of course this will be my sixth call to you - maybe this time you may actually respond to me rather than telling me that someone will call me back, but never does...

The plumber was due between 09:00-13:00hrs.I was called soon after 09:00 and told there was a problem getting to me (broken down van) and the appointment was rescheduled for 13:00-16:00hrs. After repeated calls from me with no further information from the Company, the Engineer called me at 17:15hrs and told me he was on his way (approximately 1 hour away). The Company did hear from me - I wrote to the Managing Director! Unfortunately he/she (I did ask for contact details, but they weren't forthcoming!) didn't do me the courtesy of a response. I have been in contact with Customer Relations and I wasn't satisfied with their response. However, I really don't wish to waste anymore of my time on this matter. If I was MD of the Able Group, I'd seriously look at the reviews (1&1/2 Stars!) and sort out the quality/reliability issues of this company, while there is still a company to sort out!
