“Terrible Service and no reply to our review on another...”

Appalling customer service and Overcharged for a little job that took 15 mins We called Able group when we discovered the leak and were please that they could get someone out asap.I was told that the cost would be 150 pound plus parts. When the plumber arrived he ripped out the cabinet in where the leak was even though there was perfect view of the pipes, he then went outside to turn off the stoptap so that he could fix the leak. “Unprofessional Poor Service”

I booked Able-Group on a Friday for a Monday appointment... Got a call from them (after 8pm) on Sunday asking to move it to Tuesday. Then I got another call, late on Monday evening, again wanting to reschedule only I had to stay firm. Finally, I got a call on the day of the appointment saying they could do the survey, but we wouldn't get the report for nearly a month. When I spoke to a manager, he didn't even give me his name. If I could I would give this shoddy outfit no stars but I have to give at least one in order to continue with this review. First off, they are not local. This guy came from miles away (Southend possibly). He even used google to find a plumbers centre here in Diss. Anyone from Diss knows we have several retail outlets for plumbing supplies. “Shower repair”

My elderly mum rang this company to come and look at her electric shower that was not working. Plumber came and said it was fluff in the hose and cleared it. Charged £64.80. In early May my shower developed a fault. I called Able plumbers. A plumber came, looked at it and said they'd be in touch with a quote to repair it. A couple of days later a lady phoned me with the quote which I accepted and she said the plumber would be here the following Monday. “A big let down in an emergency”

I had a faulty pipe with water pouring through the ceiling & unable to locate the stopcock, I called The Able Group, for an emergency plumber & to be fair they were initially helpful & stated they would be here within 30 minutes. “Astonishingly awful - don't touch with a barge pole”

We needed a couple of small window panes replaced. Two home visits, several phone calls, three text messages and a week later the work was still not done. Various excuses and procrastination. The third agreed visit (when it was finally going to be carried out) was unilaterally abandoned with no warning or message at all. I needed a window handle replacing. The Able Group sent out a really horrible, rude, tardy guy that had no idea what he was doing. I told him to leave and he would not leave my house. I was horrified. He then left me his personal business card, which I didn't want. Another guy came out and replaced the handle. Daughter phoned these clowns and told them her toilet was blocked. Two men turned up, one poked a rod down the toilet and partially unblocked it [just] Charged £90.00 said "a plumber was needed to take the toilet out" and left. I called round after work lifted the inspection cover in the garden at the rear to find it was almost completely full [of what goes down a toilet] it took me 5 min's with a spade and the hose pipe and now it's completely cleared. “Forget 24/7 Never Again”

I had contacted Able group for changing rubber pipe to copper one for garden tap from under the sink cabinet. The cabinet was open and there was free access to the pipe work to be connected without drilling the wall.For just cutting and fixing 2 angle joint I was charged for 1 hour job £120, material £27 Vat 20% £29.40 Total £176.40 Which is 3 time higher than normal plumbers. Had a specific plumbing problem which i explained in great detail on the phone when i booked the appointment, and was assured that they had the equipment to fix it. The guy arrived the next morning to do something which we had already tried and did not have the equipment I discussed with the contact centre the previous day. I rang the Able Group on Tuesday as I have a broken hinge on my porch door and I can't shut the door from outside without help. Was told someone would be there between 11-5,then 8 -10pm, after 1.30 Wednesday,2.30 -4 and was told he was in Worcester and without a photo of the hinges he couldn't do it! Told 9 -11 today.
