Able group took my debit card details for an emergency call out due to a burst pipe. Couldn't assist on a Saturday night but assured someone would be out Sun between 8am - 10am. 9am Sunday they cancelled putting me back to square 1 meanwhile an entire building is without water. “Gas leak to boiler”

I would of think the engineer would of complete the boiler repair, he did not. “No service at all”

The syphon needed replacing in our toilet cistern. I called them at 0913 saturday morning. I was at this point promised a plumber within 2 hours. I received a text at 0949 Saturday saying Please call ABLE and quote xxx. Thank you. I called that number at 1007 and after 18 minutes waiting for someone to pick up, was told the plumber had caught a virus and had gone home. Rescheduled for Monday 1st thing, I was told 0830 - 0900. Booked in boiler service and was called on the day to say that no one in my area was available, as the guy had left and we would have to wait until they had recruited someone. So, it would be best to find someone else. I called back as I was also concerned, as they have the full debit card details. This was dismissed. Never ever use this company.  Poor organisation, as a number of other reviews state, let down twice on booking arrangements.  Finally came, 3 hours to fit an integrated Dishwasher!! It was then poorly fitted, failed to screw machine in to secure it. Plumber returned screwed in appliance. Paid for simple job, just leaky pipe (ball valve) He turned up and said no ladder to get in loft and seemingly no tools, said my stop "thingy" seized (which it wasn't) left in same situation as "serviced" ball valve - this did not resolve, reported this so could be put right. What a load of rubbish this company is from the telephone call centre to the trades men that never answer their phones they are very quick at taking your payment details but very very slow at not getting someone to do the work after chasing them for two hours past the completion time all they say was do I want to cancel the work having waited 6 1/2 hours for the plumber. Yesterday Able called me during the appointed time their plumber was due to call to let me know that their plumber was not available today after all ( I naively presumed it would be due to sickness). I rearranged for the next day. On the second day I rang their customer services and told them that I was home two hours earlier and that, should they be running early, they could call round anytime from then ( 1pm) and up to and including the previously arranged call out time; 3-5pm. On 3 July 2017 I telephoned the Able Group to arrange for an electrician to attend my home to fix a broken shower. An appointment was fixed for the electrician to come on 7 July 2017 between 8.00 and 12.00 midday. At 9.30 on 7 July 2017 - the day of the arranged appointment and which i had arranged to take off work - the Able Group telephoned me to say that no one would be coming. “Swift and prompt responce.”

After a disastrous morning involving a broken toilet cistern, and not being able to contact of usual plumber re holidays. I found the Able Group Plumbers contact details in the Tel directory, the person I spoke to said a Plumber would be with us in the afternoon. The Plumber came a few hrs later, he was very polite and friendly, explained what the problem was, he quickly and efficiently resolved the problem. “Rip off !!”

Problem with my central heating.Called them, charged £81+Vat for half hour- told pump needs replaced.I agreed for the work to go through- They charged £ 216 for the the Pump ( normal charge in local Shop is £ 85 for pump); Labour charge £ 187/hour done for 2 hours, Total Bill £ 700 . Contacted ABLE to allow them to unblock a toilet and since it was only my wife int he house i believe she was tricked into taking a high rate and not a fixed rate to get work completed, 3 hours later the toilet could not be unblocked and thus had to use another company who did the whole proper work for half the price of ABLE group who did not even complete the work and left the property in a condition which my wife had to move out… Read Full Review

I have now been waiting weeks to get my dishwasher plumbed in. Since well before Christmas. So far I have booked in with them 4 times and so far have not even met one of their plumbers! They keep cancelling, usually after they were due and only when I call them. I was told they called twice and left voice mails to confirm the 4th appointment, interesting as I have no missed calls and no voicemail on the number they read out. Absolutely horrendous experience. Wish I had read these reviews before contacting Able Group. Our cistern stopped flushing on 23/12/16. Found them online, no call out charge, no payment until work done. They asked for payment over the phone, and charged £132 call out charge. Charged £40 pound for parts. Cistern stopped working again on 31/12/16. Been waiting since for the plumber to come back out.
