Went for my first and last visit today at the Leicester store to return a duplicate Christmas present for my daughter. When we explained to the manager that my daughter had two of the same toys for Christmas and we'd like to exchange for something else he informed us that we were two days too late for Christmas returns. We asked if he could do us a favour this once as although they didn't have the item we were retuning in stock it was still one they were selling (when in stock obviously! ) and so it would be no loss for them. He said it states on posters in store that the final return date was two days ago. I explained that this was my first visit to the store and so hadn't seen the posters. He then pointed out that it was on he receipt (because I'm sure everyone reads the small print on a receipt for something they didn't even buy!). We didn't actually get the receipt till Sunday as one of the people who had purchased the present no longer had the receipt and the other person was away. We checked online to see what time we could return the toy with our daughter that Sunday to find they were closed. This was the next available day we could go into town to do the exchange. I explained this to the manager hoping for some flexibility only for him to say it was at the managers discretion and he was saying no. He did say if I had rang him well im advance to say we couldn't make it in time he would have exchanged it.
Zero flexibility, no customer service and a jobsworth for a manager - avoid the Leicester store at all costs!
