I've been a fan of Thorpe Park in the past. But we visited this week and I will simply NEVER go back!
I decided to treat my daughter to a 'fab day out' so bought ultimate fast track for 2 - online. Very expensive but I thought it would be worth it as we'd go on a multitude of great rides and have a brilliant day to remember. WRONG!

Got there. Stealth, our no. 1 ride, not working. 'Hopefully get it working later' was the answer. Went to Saw. Had to wait 20 mins while they loaded another car (why didn't they do that before opening?) The Saw closed and we had to leave the queue.

So we spend the morning going around about 4 rides. Rush was working only on 50%. Vortex was out of order on our 1st try. Zodiac was on and off all day and queue had to leave queue 2x. Went back to Saw and again everyo9ne was walking out of the entrance as it had again closed for repairs. Stealth never did re-open. And even Swarm the new ride broke down several times.

I've been to parks in Florida and California several times and this simply did not happen there.

All in all we felt totally cheated so went to customer services where they offered us 3 fast tracks for our next visit. What a joke that is.

Any other company would offer some sort of return for that bad value for money (£197 was the cost)

The staff mostly are also generally rude and act like they really didn't like customers. It also strikes me that the ride maintenance is very poor with all the breakdowns.

The company that runs Thorpe Park are taking your money like a thief in the night. They get away with it because there is little or no competition locally. It's a shoddy company - and basically ripping people like me off.

Shoddy. Dirty. Tacky looking. The worst food imaginable on sale. Ill maintained. Possibly dangerous. With miserable staff.

Anyway I will never go back unless I hear it's been totally revamped and owned by a decent customer orientated group. Not Merlin!
