As a first time visitor to this tourist attraction it was a great disappointment. We felt like the venue owners did not really care whether or not you had a good time. It was all about taking your money and leaving you to it.
On the plus side I can only list the well kept nature of the grounds and vegetation.
On the negative side: One major ride attraction at Thorpe Park(tidal wave) broke down in the morning and could not be offered to customers for the rest of the day. The day was very busy and there were far too many people allowed in the site for the space and rides available. Queues for major ride were between 30 - 80 mins long. We were not informed in advance of buying our tickets(which are expensive), that other people can skip in front of you in a queue because they have paid an extra amount to join the fastrack queue???. This is just one big money printing scheme for the operators who have no incentive to keep queues to a reasonable level, because they make more money in pursuading people to pay a further supplement to jump the queue.
To top it all after charging around £100 for a family ticket Thorpe Park then want you to pay £2 to park your car. You need these parking tickets to get out at the end of the day and 50% of people have lost these tickets by the time they want to go home causing yet another queue at the exit!!
All in all we felt like we have experienced dealing with a rather unethical company. There appears no focus on ensuring that everyone goes home satisfied.
