We are both 60 years old this month so wanted to celebrate in style - We have just arrived back from Kenya having spent 10 days on Safari with The Big Journey Company and can honestly say this was the best trip ever. The Safari's were brilliant, the accommodation's amazing and the food (which was more than ample)was superb. We made new friends both from the UK and the US. Our driver for the trip Imtiyaz was lovely and made sure we had the front row seats when viewing the beautiful animals and became one of the family within our jeep. We really did not want to come home - say's it all really!!!

Just got back home from our Grand Safari of Kenya, this was our 2nd trip with the Big Journey Company, the first we did was The Imperial Jewels of China, and that was fantastic, thinking you could never beat that experience. So and the BJC did just exactly that, All the animals we saw were fantastic, we set records for seeing different amounts of animals, we saw in one day 3 black rhinos, you are lucky to see one let alone three together, all the accomendations were out of this world, we stayed one night in "The Ark" and we're able to watch the animals all night, The ballon ride and river walk were just awesome, We had a great driver/tour guide who would go out of his way so that we could get great views and shots of all the animals. We had a very pleasant hot cooked meal out in the bush overlooking the river. The best thing regarding these escorted tours are the way they take care of you in every aspect including safety. Thanks once again to So and The Big Journey Company for another trip of a lifetime, What will be next?

This was our 1st escorted tour, we went on the Imperial Jewels of China Tour. The 1st day we visited the Temple of Heaven, Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City followed by a Peaking Duck Dinner. Day 2 we walked the Great Wall and this was a fantastic feeling, followed by a trip to see the Birds Nest at the Olympic stadium. Day 3 we visited the Summer Palace, then flew onto Xi'an, the next day we went and saw the famous Terracotta Warriors. The tour so far had been fantastic, thinking it can't get much better, but I was wrong we visited the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a flight to Chongqing to visit the pandas (only damp day we had) then on to our river cruise on the Yangtze River to see the fantastic sights and the 3 Gorges. Going through the locks in the evening was a great experience, then a flight off to Shanghai. In Shanghai we visited a silk workshop, a small water town called Zhujiajiao on the outskirts of Shanghai, a visit to the Oriental TV tower and took the elevator to the top of the second ball. We took a cruise on the Huangpu River to see the city's modern skyline, on the last day we boarded the Maglev. This was a fast train which hit speeds of 420 km. We had plenty of shopping time and great meals,

We have arranged our honeymoon through Big Company and it's without hesitation that I write this review. We found the communication always professional, prompt and comprehensive in organising a bespoke tour of Vietnam. The company benefits from tour agents on the ground which allows Big Company to offer more than it's competitors, with many of our tours arranged solely for both of us. This also means we received a very competitive quote. It was never onerous communicating with the Big Company agent in arranging the details of the tour and nothing was too much trouble (even with us changing our minds a number of times and specific requirements). I would thoroughly recommend Big Company to my friends and family.

This was my first experience of an escorted holiday but it won't be my last with the Big Journey Company! From the pre booking questions and emails, right through to the 'welcome home' email, the whole experience was fantastic. So and his team went out of their way to ensure that everything ran smoothly and everyone had a wonderful time. The safari drivers, and Joyce and So, our escorts, were all knowledgeable, friendly and helpful (and our jeeps were by far the best we saw while we were out!) All very professional but all approachable, thoroughly nice people who want your experience to be the best it can be. The safari lodges and the beach resort at Mombasa were all of high quality (better than I'd imagined a safari lodge would be!)with a great selection of food and friendly, smiling staff. The additional trips that were available all added great elements to the holiday, from the amazing balloon trip over the Masai Mara, the boat trip on Lake Naivasha, and the walk to the crossing point on the Mara river, through to the visits to the local village and the school. I can't recommend the Big Journey Company enough, and am, and will continue, to tell others about them.

This adventure fulfilled a lifelong dream to experience the Northern Lights and Norwegian culture first hand. The ship and facilities onboard were good, offshore excursions were excellent although it would be beneficial for the local guides to provide a little more historic/technical information. Our Big Journey escort was also excellent, very personable -idle going away with family. This is one more adventure we can "scratch" off our "bucket list" Thank you DRI and Big Journey for offering this opportunity through our Club membership.

We were excited when we read about The Big Journey Company's escorted trip to Norway and the Northern Lights emphasis. Seeing the Aurora Borealis has been on our bucket list and we jumped at the chance to go with Diamond Resorts International and The Big Journey. We were somewhat apprehensive about the temperatures in Norway but the friendly people at each excursion provided appropriate attire for the activity. The best part was the fantastic Northern Lights display on multiple nights. We were blessed!

The safari to Kenya was our first group trip. Everything about the safari exceeded our expectations. From picking us up at the airport, until returning us there. Previously we had never heard of Big Journey, but we would not hesitate a minute to book with them again. The safari camps far exceeded our expectations, the food was out of this world and all waiters and staff were very friendly. Our guides were superb; so personal, so knowledgable, so skilled. They made our trip stress free.

We have been on 6 escorted holidays with Big Journey Company, and the fact that we come back time and again is testament to the quality and enjoyment, good company and value for money we have experienced over the years. The knowledge that the trips are organised to the last detail in order to provide us with entertainment, comfort and security ensures that we always have a really good time.

Everything about their Kenya Safari is first class but with an affordable price. Each day of our 10 day trip topped the previous day. We saw most all the wild animal species and up close and personal from our pop top van. We also saw a live pursuit and catch of females lions catching a wart hog and also saw male lions feeding on a zebra carcus and a leapord feeding on a gazille he had hauled up a tree. 4 optional side trips were also interesting and affordable. Our Big Journey host and his selected Kenyan drivers/game spotters were exceptional and always tending to our every needs and always mindful of our safety. The hotel facilities selected were excellent. I would recommend The Big Journey Company to anyone wanting a great experience and a great value.

Fantastic holiday and we have left feeling that we have seen all the major sights of China and more. I would definitely recommend The Big Journey Company. Our Chinese tour guides were excellent - very informative and happy to answer any questions. So, our Big Journey escort is very calm and relaxed and always there to help with any problems – everything ran very smoothly and to time.

This was our first ever Safari and we were pleasantly suprised how good all the accommodation, food and service was considering we were in remote locations. Our driver guide Sande was a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and personable man. He added so much to the Safari with his knowledge of Kenya, Animals, Plants and Birds. Sohrab our Big Journey Escort was instrumental in the great success of the holiday and Safari, with his enthusiasm and organisation, keeping us to a tight schedule, but with plenty of humour and laughs along the way. A fabulous experience for a special anniversary. We will look forward to our next Big Journey holiday.

We have now been on 3 tours with The Big Journey Company and each has been superb. Each tour gave us a taste of the country visited and had been organised to ensure that the activities rolled seamlessly into each other, with a local guide to provide the information necessary to appreciate everything. Previous to these tours we had organised our own travel, itineraries etc but our first tour with The Big Journey Company to China was so stress free and relaxed that we have now been to Kenya and India with them and not been disappointed. Their care is exemplified by the regular personal contacts during the preparation stages to make sure that we are fully informed. The tour leaders take care of all the hotels, tickets, travel arrangements, luggage porters, tips etc leaving you to eat, drink and relax. We never felt pressured, not even when leaving at 'silly' times to take a balloon flight over the Masai Mara or to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise. There is always a local English speaking guide to help you to realise the significance of each visit and our recent guide in India was excellent. giving us insights into the history and culture so that we gained a better understanding of what we were experiencing. We have had two holidays with The Big journey Company. Both were fabulous and great experiences that will last long in our memories: Our first was a seven night safari in Kenya and a three day stay on edge of the Indian Ocean, just North of Mombasa. On safari we saw just about every wild animal you could expect to see including, lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, elephants, hyena, hippos and so many more. Our guide was both friendly and knowledgeable and ensured we saw Kenya as we could have only imagined. The hot air balloon trip across the Masai Mara was a simply breath taking, once-in-a-life time experience. And at the end of the Safari being able to relax in a quality hotel was the icing on the cake! The travel arrangements and itinerary were slick, and the whole amazing experience was underpinned with the reassurance of having a representative of the BJC nearby at hand for superb advice and guidance. Kenya was so good the following year we chose a Mediterranean cruise. Another seamless and problem free holiday that enabled us to do exactly as we wanted which occasionally was absolutely nothing! The food was fabulous and we punctuated our week with excursions ashore to make the experience even more memorable. Would we recommend the Big Journey Company? Absolutely. They are caring, experienced and knowledgeable travel professionals but above all else they are thoroughly nice people.
