The weather was superb, the food delicious and we were very well guided by Charlotte and the bus driver. The timing allowed us to have a leisurely lunch at the Eiffel Tower after our boat ride on the Seine. Everything was very smoothly organised so we never felt rushed. We chose not to follow the guided tour of the Louvre so were able instead to have tea and enjoy a rest in the Tuileries Gardens. After our overnight stay at the very conveniently situated hotel, we had a whole day free in Pairs with our bus and metro pass. We used it to return to the Arc De Triomphe and sample delightful French cuisine on the Rue de Rivoli. We also strolled along the Champs D'Elysees before returning to London on Eurostar feeling rested and relaxed.
