“London Night Lights Tour”

Written on: 24/10/2014

This is a fantastic tour. Easy to find boarding point. Punctual arrival of bus. The tour is lively and informative. I saw sights of London and learnt background and history of so many sites. I could ask questions about places we saw and had good warning for upcoming photo opportunities. The time flew by because the tour was so much fun… Read Full Review

“Would not reccommend, ever”

Written on: 19/10/2014 by MissMasters (1 review written)

Very, very, hard to find the location to get on the bus. I was not the only one that could not find it. 90% of calls that I heard were people just trying to find the place. There were no toilets on the bus. The bus driver was not friendly, and did not give any instruction once we got there, you had to figure most things out on your own. On the way home he stopped near a tube station and told everyone they had to get off, and once again gave no instruction where the tube station was. For those… Read Full Review

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your trip to Stonehenge.

We have 4 pickup points on the Stonehenge Express: Royal National Hotel (Russell Square), The Original London Visitor Centre (Trafalgar Square), Evan Evans Tours Office (Victoria), and the Millennium Gloucester Hotel (Gloucester Road). We are aware that many of our passengers are not from London and have a map on the website showing the pick-up locations to try to make it easier for you to find your chosen starting point.

There are no toilet facilities on the Evan Evans coaches - again, we mention this on the website under the FAQ section, but I understand that this can be an inconvenience for some passengers and I apologise.

With regards to changing departure dates - our policy is to refund in full for any cancellations up to 24 hours prior to departure. Within 24 we will no longer refund, but are happy to amend the travel date (subject to availability) up to 1 hour prior to departure. We don't believe this is unreasonable and as it's included in our terms and conditions, you shouldn't feel the need to threaten us - unless you didn't turn up for the tour and notified us after the fact, in which case the date change would be at the discretion of the Reservations Supervisor on the day.

With regards to the time spend at Stonehenge, we do not advertise 2 hours ... but we try to give you at least 1 hour 45 minutes at Stonehenge.

We have checked the coach tachometer for the Stonehenge Express on Friday 10 October: the coach arrived at Stonehenge at 15:01 and departed at 17:00 - this is slightly longer than scheduled, but allows for some time to get from the visitor centre to Stonehenge itself.

Returning to London the driver made a few stops to try to drop off everyone at a convenient location. The first stop was at Gloucester Road underground station at 19:06, with further stops at Hyde Park Corner, and Marble Arch and finishing at the Royal National Hotel at 19:40. I'm aware that on the website it states that that the tour finishes at Victoria Train Station and this is normally where we drop off, but we were running a little late and it looks like the driver went our of his way to return passengers to the two hotels that we picked up from. Once again I apologise if this was not what you expected.

Regards, David

“Good highlights”

Written on: 19/10/2014 by cfMcCall315 (1 review written)

Our guide was interesting and easy to follow. However it would have been better if he went more into the history of the places we were visiting, or just England in general. It was also a pretty long ride back to London from Bath. Would be good if we made a toilet stop… Read Full Review

Written on: 16/10/2014 by Lamar238 (1 review written)

Read Full Review

Thank you for your feedback.

I agree ... but unfortunately we can't. It might be better if we didn't have tours departing from outside the office. The morning and full day tours depart from Victoria Coach Station, which has public restrooms. The afternoon tours have a few pick-ups, mostly from hotels, but the Stonehenge Express and Warner Bros Studio Tour include the office as one of the pick-ups, and it's not ideal.

“Excellent Guide, Uncomfortable Seats”

Written on: 08/10/2014 by UnclePeter (1 review written)

Well organized tour although an extra half hour in Bath and Windsor would have been great! We spent 45 minutes just getting from the 'hotel pick-up' bus to the 'trip' bus. The places sell themselves but our guide was able to add considerable detail to our trip. The bus was clean BUT the seats are too close together. To be honest I would think twice about a bus tour in light of the discomfort. If you are over 5ft 8in ...book something else… Read Full Review

“Tour of Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews”

Written on: 08/10/2014

I loved my visit to Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews. The audio guides were excellent and easy to use, and I will never forget the magnificent things I saw. My complaint is that there was no advantage to booking this tour through your company. I could have saved 10 pounds by simply booking the tickets on-line myself. I knew ahead of time that the tour of Buckingham palace was to be only with an audio guide, but I thought that there would be a tour guide accompanying us through the Royal… Read Full Review

“Buckingham Palace State Rooms”

Written on: 03/10/2014

Fantastic tour of the Palace, well organised with easy arrangements. Ticket purchase, voucher system and ticket collection very easy. The free audio during the tour was really informative and not to be missed. Very reasonable price for such a memorable tour at less than half the price of the cheapest theatre tickets. Even the weather was perfect!!! This is not to be missed during a trip to London. Thank you… Read Full Review

“Excellent experience”

Written on: 02/10/2014 by Graceof436 (1 review written)

The booking through the website was easy. My only suggestion for that is to list an approximate time the tour will stay at each attraction. The tour itself was fun and we got to spend a good amount of time in both places. The guide and driver were excellent and very knowledgeable. The start of the tour was a little rough because there were so many tours leaving at once that it was a little confusing at the Victoria Coach Station… Read Full Review

“Stonehenge Trip”

Written on: 30/09/2014 by SamanthaPoole (1 review written)

The bus journey from Victoria station to Stonehenge was slow and long, in particular the first part out of the city. The entire travelling time of more than 4.5 hours with less than 1 hour to spend at the Stonehenge site is a big disappointment and a big let down. We (3 of us) would never have gone on the trip if we knew we were only to be given <1 hour at the site. It feels like were we paying for a bus ride rather than a trip to visit the Stonehenge… Read Full Review

“A Royal Treat!”

Written on: 30/09/2014 by knThornton265 (1 review written)

The use of an information headset gave just the right amount of information as I walked though each room. Opportunities to pause and read, or look at, objects in more detailed were also useful. The tour was imaginative, instructive and, most of all, enjoyable. Staff were immaculate in their attire, and polite and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition about the royal childhood, the film clips and photographs. Afterwards, having a cup of tea and cake on the terrace was refreshing (though… Read Full Review
