Fun afternoon sightseeing tour on the Harrods green bus. The tour takes you around the main sights of London and stops off at Buckingham Palace for a photo stop. A short trip on a catamaran from Tower Bridge to the Embankment is included. Friendly tour guide, audio commentary. Afternoon tea at Harrods (two scones, tea and champagne) is also included. Very good value and a good afternoon's entertainment. Would definitely recommend. (read more)

Our tour guide and bus driver were wonderful. Leslie led us to Windsor Castle and gave us landmarks to make sure we could find our way back. I enjoyed the doll house and gallery. Thank-you for your feedback.
Tour 22 to Leeds Castle, Canterbury and Dover is one of shorter tours (less driving time) and we aim to get back into London by 6.30pm to give people time to do something in the evening, like going to the theatre ... but 6pm is a little bit early.
There isn't a lot to do in Dover other than see the White Cliffs, but we will look carefully at the tour schedule and see if we can spend a little more time at Leeds Castle and/or Canterbury.

Venues managed by the Royal Collection (Buckingham Palace, Royal Mews, Queen's Gallery, Clarence House and Windsor Castle) will validate tickets for a year IF YOU BUY YOUR TICKET FROM THEM DIRECTLY.
This is a good option for anyone wishing to visit the same venue more than once, although Royal Collection do recommend you pre-book your subsequent visits and charge a booking fee of £1.25 each time.
It should also be noted that Buckingham Palace State Rooms are only open for 2 months of the year and are very busy, so subsequent visits will be subject to availability, but if you're planning multiple visits to Windsor Castle, I recommend booking with them directly.

Thank-you for the feedback.
Our tours are scheduled to depart from Victoria Coach Station at 9am sharp. I don't know the specific details of your tour, but normally a delay with the morning pick-up will not impact on the tour itself. The morning pick-up service covers over 60 hotels across London and the timings are sometimes affected by traffic, but they have a 30 minute buffer built in and are due to arrive at Victoria by 8.30am, giving you time to change onto your tour coach for the 9am departure.
But as I said, I don't know the specific details of your tour and if there was a significant delay with the morning pick-up service, it would have impacted ALL tours departing that morning (and Evan Evans would likely receive a fine). If this happened the morning of your tour, I do apologize, but it certainly isn't a common occurrence.
Queuing to go into Windsor Castle can be an issue during the summer and is something that Evan Evans monitor very closely. Windsor Castle is a very popular attraction and as it's an official residence of The Queen, security is tighter than at most other venues. Evan Evans work closely with the Royal Collection to try to minimize delays.
More time at Windsor Castle would definitely be better, also more time in Bath. Unfortunately this isn't possible on this particular tour and we can't extend the duration of the tour due to EU restrictions on driving hours. A possible solution would be to set up tours that don't visit as many places - maybe just Stonehenge and Bath, or Windsor Castle and Hampton Court ... or just Windsor Castle. We have tried this in the past - sadly they don't sell nearly as well, but tastes change and it might be time to give it another try.
As for a detailed itinerary, I do include estimate times on the website in the FAQ section.
http://www.discount-london-tours.com/faq/
Our tours are designed to take you to places you wouldn't have been able to visit as easily on your own. On the Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath tour, we usually spend 2 hours at Windsor, 2 hours at Bath and 45 minutes at Stonehenge. This gives you a "taste" of each destination, but there really isn't a lot of time at any one place.
Best Regards,
David

My boyfriend and I booked tour 29: Windsor Castle, Oxford and Stonehenge tour at sunset on May 11, 2012. Dear Stephi
I'm very, very sorry - this tour was certainly not up to our usual standards.
I've spoken to the Evan Evans operations team and apparently there was a delay at the first pick-up, which impacted on the entire day. The Windsor Castle state apartments were closed on the 11th, we list these dates on the website, but still operate tours because we can still go into the castle grounds and see Queen Mary’s Dolls House and St Georges Chapel.
But there is no excuse for missing out at Christ Church and Stonehenge. While you were able to go into Christ Church, the dining room closes early, which must have been a big disappointment; and you should have been given at least 45 minutes at Stonehenge. There wasn't a double booking, but we do have a fixed time slot and we arrived late.
As you say, you paid a lot of money for the tour and we did not deliver the product as promised. We will be giving you a full refund for this tour, and if you (or a friend) would like to book another tour with us, please let me know and we can arrange a 50% discount.

I'm sorry about this - it's certainly not our intention to mislead anyone.
Most of the tours are English-speaking, but Evan Evans also operate a few tours in Spanish and in Japanese. Depending on booking numbers, they may operate these as separate tours or together on the same coach with a multilingual guide.
Unfortunately this is not something we know in advance. We know what days the Spanish and Japanese tours operate, but don't know whether they will run separately or together.
I have added a FAQ page to the website to cover some of the questions/issues raised by these reviews.

First of all, I believe that it is not a good idea that the buses do not have bathrooms. Sometimes a trip can last for up to 3 hours as was our case, and it is way too much time to go without at least making stops if there are no bathrooms. Thank-you for the feedback.
I'm sorry that your experience was not a good one.
Our tour coaches do NOT have toilets on-board (and to the best of my knowledge, neither do any of the other major London Tour Operators), but we make frequent stops and it's rare that we ever drive more than 3 hours without a stop.
On the tours I've been on, the Guides are constantly reminding passengers to use the toilet before boarding the coach ... but they are also authorised to make emergency stops if necessary.
I don't know why the Guide would/could not stop this time, but if you would like to contact Evan Evans Tours directly and provide details of the tour, travel date etc, I'm sure they can investigate.

We have very little information to go on, but on the day we believe you travelled with us, there were two Stonehenge tours with female guides.
We've asked the coach company to check the tachometers on these two coaches and they've advise us that the vehicles were parked at Stonehenge for 41 and 46 minutes. This is about right as our schedule requires them to stop at Stonehenge for approx 45 minutes.
Both Guides were Blue-badge, which is the highest guiding qualification in Britain. It's unlikely that either are "lacking in information", but without more information, it's difficult to speculate on your specific experience.
