Almost burnt my kitchen down!!!!!

This toaster looks great but it has a major safely issue. Last week I used the toaster then went to work. However the timer which switches the toaster off got stuck, and the toaster was left on all day. I returned home from work to find my kitchen cupboards completely burnt, with the covers peeling off, all the food in the cupboards above had melted and glasses had cracked. I am just so lucky that they did not catch fire and burn my house down. I phoned Dualit customer services, and I was informed that this it is not an unusual thing to happen and it was basically my fault because their toasters need to be unplugged from the wall when you leave the house (apparently it explains this in the instruction manual!). They said because the toaster was just out of warranty there was nothing they could do. So basically this is a great toaster if you are happy to remember to unplug it from the wall every time you leave the house (which apparently according to the Dualit customer service team, most people do?!) If not beware - it could burn your house down!
