Was delighted when I saw that heinz beans and cathedral city cheese had brought back out cheesy beans. £1.50 a tin . So I loved their cheesy beans years ago so bought 4 tins. Whst a disappointment. Bland no taste of cheese at all. I won't be buying these again ..Will go back to Branston beans and put my own cheese in .

Aged 71, I've been enjoying Heinz Baked Beans for many years. Not had them for a while so thought we'd treat ourselves Was looking forward to my all time favourite of Sausages, Mash and Heinz Baked Beans How disappointing. The Baked Beans tasted very bland. Where has the rich and creamy tomato taste gone? Are they watered down? Won't be buying again which is a shame after supporting the product for 60 years plus.

I have always loved Heinz beans. I recently bought a 4 pack and they are largely nade up of a horrible tasteless grainy gloopy sauce. I think there has been a heavy hand with the modified starch. They are inedible what false economy.

Not like they used to be! Tin consists of about half a tin of beans and the rest is a rather watery attempt at a sauce

Heinz baked beans and their spaghetti in tomato sauce now both taste very bland! I have to add sugar salt and tomato ketchup to get them to taste near to original! Will be trying to swap to different brand now and no doubt cheaper!!

I used to eat the baked beans for 2 with cruskits nearly EVERY single day.. won’t touch them now. Even my kids commented that they taste ‘off’. Please change the recipe back!!!!!

Heinz baked beans were THE beans for years. All through my childhood, my children’s and grandchildren’s childhood they were good but I wouldn’t give one star rating if it were possible, absolutely tasteless and that’s also my 14 year old granddaughter’s opinion. Won’t be buying again. I liked NOTHING about them.

Without doubt the worst beans I’ve tasted this year. I used to swear by Heinz Baked Beans now I wouldn’t feed them to my dog. The sauce is watery, tasteless and utterly bland. How a company allows this to happen is beyond belief.

Brought new recipe heinz beans. I found them absolutely disgusting. Won't buy again. I now buy sainsbury own, taste so much better and half the price. Its a win win.

Love Heinz baked beans, throwback to childhood. However recent purchase is more like swimming in tomato flavoured water than the nice tomato sauce from not so long ago. I would rather the portion smaller than lose flavour this way. Need to go back to old recipe and lose the added water.

What’s happened to Heinz baked beans. They used to be so nice, but now you’re paying top price for what seems to be a watered down product. The baked beans are just swimming around in a thin tasteless sauce!

The teal label is iconic- the product is bland with a thin sauce. Had to add hot sauce to give it some kind of flavor. Branston is much preferred.

Thin, watery and sweet 'sauce'.Unbelievably poor quality compared with how they used to be. Branston baked beans are fabulous with a rich, thick sauce and at a fraction of the price @

ordered it several times online but last few time the tin wasn't in a good condition. But this tastes good.

Absolutely tasteless, awful, the sauce was bland, no tomato taste at all. every one in my household refused to Finnish them !!! I will be buying the Branson beans in future, they are even cheaper. Hienz you really need to up your game.

Checked the new small tin and found it has a lower % of beans and tomatoes than the larger tin. More like beans in water! Certainly going to be trying alternative brands next time. Another lost customer!

Some time ago in mid-2022 I was instantly aware that Heinz Beans had become almost inedible due to what has clearly been a total change in the formulation.
So, looking for an alternative I bought Branston beans which although packed in a very slightly smaller can actually contain more beans and are in a far far better and greatly tasty carrier sauce. Heinz beans are now “bland” in colour ...they now have “zero taste” and their viscosity is thin and watery in the extreme. The top 1/3rd of the can is full of this watery substance and broken up bits of beans. I think originally Heinz took the salt out, then they’ve clearly taken the full tomato flavour out...and now they’ve quite obviously reduced the number of beans in the can .....so the question is: “how long will it be before they take ALL the beans out ?”
