I purchased a Toshiba Regza 52" TV in November 2009. We began having distorted / static audio randomly in early 2011. I began trying to solve the problem only to be told that Toshiba was not aware of the issue. As the problem escalated more searching was done only to be told the same thing. After having a technician come to my home did I learn that a bulletin had been posted addressing this issue but does not apply to my model and I would be responsible for the repair cost to replace the main board at a cost of $449.34. After speaking with Toshiba customer care today agian I was told that yes a bulletin had been been posted in 2010 addressing the issue but I am responsible for the cost of repair.
My question is why should the consumer be responsible for repairing a manufacturing break down.
Never will purchase a Toshiba product again nor recommend them, but, will advise anyone against purchasing it.
