    Bought off Ebay, this ex Tesco model with DVD does not give very lifelike images, with colours inclined to be flat.
    The response time from the supplied remote is quite slow and must be angled correctly to work. Whether using it to change channels or for information.
    The remote does not have buttons ...

    As far as I can tell this recorder is not suitable for HD TV. I bought mine from UKDVDR and can't get a reply from them when I asked this question. It will not record from a free view box either so be warned. What seems like a bargain is money down the pan.

    We have a Technika DVDR2005 DVD player and it is only playing the backround audio i.e. music etc but not the full sound with voices. We've tried all of the audio setting but it won't work! It's not the TV either because the sound on this is working perfectly.

    Technika DVD 108 is very cheap from tesco (£15) playes all dvd's i own including own burnet prodjects. including pictures.

    no pixel problems, good sound.

    overall A++ now own 2 more and also just bought the HD version (only £30).

    The Technika DVDR 2005 reads everything and excellent value for money. Mine has gone kaput due to kids playing around with it was looking to replace with same model, but unfortunately not available any more.
