Ordered a takeaway as I normally do every weekend via the JE website. 20 minutes later I happen to find an automated email from JE - 'your order has been cancelled'. ??! What? I've been ordering from this particular chinese for a year or so! Both these companies have made plenty of profit from my purchases. Plus the £3 delivery charge and card fees every time. “Terrible food & 4 hours waiting!”

Ordered a pizza and Panini for £12.50 at 4.30pm, waited 2 hours for the food to arrive and when it did it was cold. I called to complain and was told that they would send my order out again. I am still waiting 3 hours later for the replacement food to arrive! The food isn't much to shout about either. Soggy and cold sweet potato fries anyone? No thanks. “No Customer Service! Regular customer for 3+ Years! POOR!”

I have used Just Eat for well over 3 years now. And for the first 1.5 years I ordered every single night! I can no longer login to my account using the App or the website, and I am not receiving password resets. I feel someone has compromised my account and changed the email address on it and I am getting ZERO support from Just Eat. “What service?”

The real problem I have is that they cannot provide the service they say they can. I ordered a takeaway and had no confirmation to say that the order had been accepted. I called the restaurant and they say they had not received anything. I contacted just eat to ask them what was going on and after yet another long wait, they said there was a technical problem and they'd ring it through. After nearly an hour I just wanted to cancel. “Just Don't Eat!”

My partner had made an order to our usual take away. At the payment screen as it directs to your bank came back with an error code. This happened several time. A text was sent from Halifax to say £119.58 had left to just eat! She spoke to a very rude, arrogant and I an other words cocky teenager on the phone who lied to her and blamed the bank. When you place a paid order with us the funds are reserved straight away but if the order fails for whatever reason, we would not complete the transaction and touch the reserved funds.

It's not actually a booking website or app. You can go through the whole process of searching, ordering and paying for your meal only to be told some time afterwards that that order has been rejected. It is very rare for an order to be cancelled with 98% of orders going through successfully. Cancellations should be a last resort for circumstances which can't be predicted, for everything else, we have tools to allow takeaways to close themselves if they can't take orders. The menu & prices that appear online are given to us by the restaurant. Now, as you're already aware, we have a price promise in place to make sure that online customers get a fair price for their takeaway.

Contact restaurants direct, justeat.co.uk have extremely poor customer service. I'd paid for my order direct to justeat and only half the order turned up. I'm not sending any further emails, I've tried, speaking directly to your customer support over the computer AND telephone so why would I bother wasting an email, after a long discussion she hung up telling me to deal with the restaurant who WON'T deal with me. I'm not wasting any more of my time on your company just won't use you again. I copied and pasted the conversation I had with your customer support rep, the 'oh well' comment after telling me there was nothing I could do but leave poor feedback and so that is what I've done. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AND STEER CLEAR ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!

We're really sorry to see you order was cancelled with you really late. Usually if we're informed that a takeaway needs to cancel an order or we let a customer know right away. In a case where we send an order to the takeaway but they neither accept or reject the order, we try to phone the order through. If we still can't get through to them we're forced to cancel but this should be done within 5 - 10 minutes of the order being placed.

“Poor service and Just eat just keeps on blaming O2 ”

Appaling service from a company called Just Eat. The machine goes offline twice or more times every week and they just keep on blaming O2 for that. Just Eat is only interested in grabbing commission and the machine gets glitched which means when a customer places an order it does not get to the takeaway straight away. I reported on the night I ordered a meal that there was an main item missing. I couldn't get through on phone to the take out. I got through on the online chat service and they assured me they would look into it and contact the restaurant. I stayed logged on chat for 45 mins but no one came back with update. We were really 'happy to see a couple of places delivering to our village offering a wide range of choice of food. We used them both quite a lot. However really disappointed that neither now offer delivery and we are down to collecting only from the local pub with a choice of one type of food only, Will be back to Dominoes and KFC o n way home frm work rather than local food delivered locally.
