“No vegetarian respect”

I ordered £58 pounds worth of vegetarian food. On the same evening one waiter rang me to say there was no pak Choi so i ordered another vegetarian dish. When the order came they all had shrimp, meat or chicken in. Also, it was all swimming in disgusting pink sugar water which was meant to be a sauce. When i rang Jades Kitchen to complain that it was not vegetarian and we couldn’t eat anything they said they would ring me back. Seven phone calls later, and having spoken to the manager who said she would deal with it and ring me back, and no phone call came, i rang Hungry House. They tried to resolve by ringing the restaurant who denied everything, even denying the phone call. The restaurant would not compensate me at all so Hungry House said They could not help me and were not prepared to do anything else to help! Not only was the food disgusting, and misrepresented, no one could help me retrieve some of my money. What terrible service and bad management. Never order from this website and certainly not from Jade Kitchen in St Johns Wood!

“Hungry house customer service”

I don't understand the point of ordering via Hungry house if they will not look after you when things go wrong. My food was delivered really late, no email was sent to update with the time. When i callex after texting for 15 minutes with the customer advisor i realised that there is no interest to look after the consumer. The advidor i had, Mercedes was pretty useless. The onky thi g she was saying " iam sorry it's not my fault, it's the restaurant" .. so what is the point of using hungry house at all? Just disgusting

“All round terrible”

Ordered x4 dishes from a Chinese restaurant. All four were really poor quality - cold, over cooked, lacking in key ingredients etc. We couldn’t eat it and so had to cook instead. Complained via hungry house customer services who duly called te restaurant on my behalf. Apparently the restaurant was v rude to them and refused any compensation. Hungry house also refused to provide any compensation and said they take no responsibility for the quality or standard of the food. Poor service, poor quality product and ridiculous approach to fixing complaints. Would avoid.

“Worst Delivery Platform in London!”

This has to be the worst restaurant delivery app/service in London! The first time I used them is the last time I will ever use them! My experience with not just the restaurant but Hungryhouse is disgusting. Hingryhouse told me when my order should be delivered, but then reserved the right for the restaurant to change that delivery. When the delivery was late I contacted Hungryhouse via live chat. There was no resolution, but an apology. Long story short - 3 hours for a delivery of chinese which is 2 miles away. 2.5 hours into the wait I contact Hungryhouse again via live chat and wait for over 4 hours in que to which no one ever comes to my complaint - it was after 0100h that I finally had enough and turned the computer off - hungryhouse customer service stops at 2300h. So I contact them this morning (the morning after the palaver) and I am told there is ntohing they can do, blah blah. They turned around and blamed me for acceoting the order 3 hours late (full story below) and then say "well it was the busiest day of the year for deliveries". NO ACCOUNTABILITY by either the restaurant or this hungryhouse service. When I turned it back on the customer service rep and asked himhow he would like this and how he would feel if it were done to him, he said, "I dont know how I would feel". Well I know how he would feel!! This service is horrible and treats its users like rubbish! No accountability, no responsibility and no resolution ot my issue with the hungryhouse service or with the restaurant. NEVER USE HUNGRYHOUSE! They care not for their patrons or the way their patrons are treated by their affiliates and/or partner restaurants. Now the restrautn just phoned (after their arrival was to be) and has stated another half an hour or they can cancel the order!! OR WHAT?!! This is unacceptable and if I knew this was going to turn into this palaver I never would have ordered from Hungryhouse in the first place. I was then kept waiting as positon 1 in the que all night - noone from hungry house ever handled my query or compalaint form last night - they left me waiting for hours!! all around I have to say that the restaurants you work with and your own services are dreadful the food finally cam at almost 2300h when ordering approx three hours before - this is unacceptable TYes I've just read the chat transcript with the person you spoke to yesterday. Your second message wasn't actually read by anyone, you disconnected the chat before speaking to an agent. So ultimately you accepted the food at 11pm, or whatever the exact time was? I do appreciate that it arrived late, and I'm sorry about that, but you would need to frame your complaint against the fact that yesterday was Boxing Day. “Appalling company”

This company has no customer care what so ever. It works by the takeaway staff/owner pretending to be customers and writing outstanding reviews which is dishonest to say the least. They are only interested in taking money and providing no customer service even if something goes very wrong. Considering they are so dishonest and provide a platform for some terrible takeaways I will no longer use them. Also if you post a negative review about them or a takeaway on their site they delete it without telling you. AVOID !!

The food was cold, the chips shrivelled up. The plaice was small and thin covered with thick batter, I couldn't tell what fish it was. The mozzarella rolls and salad were good. I wont be ordering from Angies again

“Poor Food Quality”

This was the worst takeaway food I have eaten. The means of delivery and timing was very good but to advertise such a poor takeaway is not good. I would expect the food places advertised by hungry house to at least meet a certain standard, this did not. I phoned to complain and was promised resolution, never heard from the lady dealing with issue again. She even promised to send me a review link, nothing.

WARNING!! PLEASE BEWARE THIS APP!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! Food NEVER turned up! Complained to customer services but they refused to refund, instead advised me to contact the restaurant directly, even though I had paid extra money for their services so they should have taken responsibility. Also I've put in a review about the restaurant but the app hungryhouse rejected the review, obviously because of the fact that I have exposed the poor standards of this restaurant, they didn't like this as it will affect the review of the restaurant thus people will not order through hungryhouse app, and therefore they will utimately lose out on revenues, it's befitting isn't it!!! When I report this to the FSA I will also highlight the fact that you are deliberately keeping this review discrete for your own benefit rather than watching out for public interest.

“Terrible customer service”

I complained about inedible food and the customer service department was rude and dismissive. They are keen to make money out of you and the restaurant`s but shoulder no responsibility. They said if you have a problem with an order leave a review. I did just that also complaining about them and guess what ? it was blocked from appearing. I was a loyal customer but will never use hungry house again. Its just a money making machine that does not care about service .

Looked for local takeaways with this sham of a company. Ordered from 'Lucky Star' in Basildon, some four miles away. 10 minutes after ordering I receive an automated text message 'Order cancelled'. I later receive an email stating that 'delivery to my area is not possible'. The order was £25.00 and they had the cheek to charge £3.00 for delivery. But they still refused to deliver. Thanks to both these inept businesses; I will be using neither again.

“Disgusting ”

I am absolutely livid!! Ordered and put card details into the hungry house website, order was eventually cancelled because there was a fault with hungry house systems. But didn't have a problem with taking my money!! Spoke to customer service and have to wait 3 workings days for my money to be returned, and wouldn't let me speak to the manager. NEVER EVER ordering from here again and I advise others not too either.

HH showed my a chinese - I ordered, then the order was cancelled because I was outside delivery radius! I'm FOUR miles away?? And why was it shown to me in the first place???!!!

I've ordered twice from Hungryhouse in the last 6 months and had the same awful experience both times with 2 different restaurants. Gave them a second chance yesterday and found the situation to be the same, if not worse. Food arrived almost 2 hours after I placed the order (described in the order as 'ASAP' delivery. I received a notification of a 50 minute delay one minute after the order was confirmed and paid, with no option to cancel at that point. So you get tricked into believing the food will arrive really quickly, and then have to live with whatever delays they foist on you. The food eventually arrived 20 mins after even the latest estimated time as the delivery guys got lost, despite us giving a clear postcode, address, and visual directions (which the restaurant obviously did not read as they were looking for a flat, not a house). No notifications or updates from hungryhouse after the initial delay email, no follow up emails to rate the service or check that everything was ok. An absolute shambles all around. The food was OK but we'd already raided the cupboards as we were so hungry by then, so not much point in talking about it. Only plus is that the app is good and easy to use, but that's about the only thing hungryhouse has going for them. I recommend looking elsewhere for fast, decent quality food delivery - there are plenty of better alternatives.

Looked at a few take away menus and compared them to prices on hungryhouse and delivery is cheaper or free direct and found offers better direct ie 20 % off on orders over £15 Hungryhouse its £20

Terrible service Hungary house were quick to take my money via debit card however they forgot to let me know that the shop was closed. When trying to get my funds back I was told to wait 3 working days as for some unknown reason my bank would need to investigate??? I spoke to a representative of Hungary house this evening who seemed as if he was still nursing a new year hangover very rude and dismissive and obviously forgot his job and how to deal with customers. A really bad experience and would not recommend this service.

My account has just been hacked.. I like in maidstone kent and some sod has just hacked my account in Manchester to order there food through your app!! I just called you and some man who did care... Told me it happens all the time and to call the police as they cant do anything.... Even no you have his address, email and phone number... .... Our cards are left on your app because they are meant to be safe??? Which they are not!!  Avoid Avoid Use another app......

“Angry student”

I live in student accommodation and I have ordered from them loads of times and then tonight my order was cancelled so i was told to try and reorder via the email and i did. Great I thought going to get my pizza, boy was I wrong. It said that a refund would be sent in 3 days or I could use my account balance. I thought maybe it was the company that canceled it and then 10 hours later I ordered from a different restaurant. When trying to check out it said I had sufficient funds but I have £30 in my hugryhouse account. So whats going on? I ring customer services at half 2 in the morning and speak to the most useless woman on the other end. She told me I would have to ring back tomorrow to talk to the tech team as my account is blacklisted and tried to insinuate that my bank account is always refused. (I might be a student but I'm not reckless with money). At this point I am absolutely raging (I am a sleep deprived hungry student) and I told this silly woman that I will no longer be using hungry house. She pipes up and tries to bribe me with free credit but that she can't do it I have to ask for it again tomorrow when I speak to the tech team. It turns out my accommodation has been black listed but did they tell me this before I placed the order? No. They took my money and are now making me wait 3 working days for MY money to come back to ME. Will I be using hungry house again? No. Would I recommend hungry house to someone else? No Sod hungry house.
