“Much Better Alternatives, I Suggest You Use Them!”

I recently used Hungry House for the first time, having previously used Just Eat. Their offer of 'express delivery' i.e. get your meal in 45 minutes or the next one free seemed rather appealing so I thought I would give them a shot. Having undertaken my initial search for a restaurant I found the choice in my location to be very limited, with around 3 - 4 restaurants to choose from. no why dont you lazy buggers just order directly of the takeaway or restaurants. just eat and hungry house take extortionate commission on the orders from the businesses that some of them don't actually make a profit on the orders. the takeaways are now hitting back, basically justeat and hungryhouse customers will get smaller portions, less tasty and the service will not be that great because technically you are a customer of the internet companies and not the takeaways. I know all this because i own a few takeaways and restaurants and all the owners in our areas have now got together and basically telling the internet companies that people who order through their companies will not be getting the service and food that people that order directly through the takeaways!!!!!!

As a business owner myself I understand the frustration when having to use outside methods for marketing your business... Does that change my approach to customer satisfaction? - Absolutely NOT! My goal would be to impress the end client in the hope that they return to MY business in person without going through the middle man. At the end of the day the client is STILL using YOUR business, regardless of the route they take to find you, should they be the ones to pay for the fact that you may have to pay out a little more... NO... cause ultimately you are still getting the custom.

Frankly your approach to business and customer satisfaction is disgusting and I assume since you have the time to troll through the reviews of companies such as this, your business are not doing overly well. Perhaps you should redirect your attention and time into delivering a service that your clients deserve rather than critising individuals and the way in which they choose to purchase services. As ultimately at the end of the day, no one forces you as a takeaway to use services companies like this, it is simply another channel for you to gain business - if you do it well you are likely to have the custom long term, treat customers unfairly because of their choices you are only hurting yourself in the long term... Fool.

Ordered 4 kebabs at approximate price of £20 and payed on line. Order came in good time, so far so good. On delivery I was told I did not pay for the order and I would have to pay by cash. Placed an order via HH for a Chinese. Over an hour later, I rang the restaurant to be told order hadn't been placed despite HH saying it had been accepted - they told me to ring HH. Nonce I eventually got through, guy seemed disinterested but allegedly has refunded my money although it will take few days. Funny how it's always slower that way! This is the worst customer service I have come across in a long time. They cant even apologise for the inconvenience created and making 2 people hungry. perhaps this is why they are called hungry house? Somebody called me from restaurant asking for replacing a part of order with something else, after an hour. The first time we used Hungry House, we waited an hour and a half for our order. They gave us £3 to use towards our next takeaway - which is an insult. I don't usually do reviews, but I feel that people need to know about this. I placed an order through Hungry House on Friday night, only to be told it wouldn't be delivered for almost 2 hours. I have just read your review regarding payment on hungry house and then waiting for 2 hours for your food. Sadly I did not check the reviews first but I have just done the same thing and was told I have to wait almost two hours. This is outrageous and delivery times should be given PRIOR do taking your money. DO NOT USE HUNGRY HOUSE SITE

“Unreliable and only interested in good reviews!”

Ordered a very simple take away from a place 5 minutes away- first it said the soonest would be 45 minutes (at 3pm?!) then was sent another email saying it would take 65 minutes. After 65 minutes the guy showed up swearing and gesticulating saying he had tried to phone me because he was lost (I even said in the message box 'bottom of cul-de-sac on the left') was pretty rude in front of my customers, and when I opened it half the order was wrong. I placed an order through Hungry House web site for delivery from Fry Days fish bar in Biggleswade on/around 22nd August. The first time I sent the order through it was Declined. The restaurants on their site delivery the food 30 minutes late after 1hour open delivery time.
