Bought the Nexus 7 (with 3G option) as didn't want to fork out for a new laptop or computer. We are very impressed, does everything we want - emails & surf web,can even use air printer with it.Apparently can't use them for spreadsheets etc but that's not a problem for us.Went to Argos as only place could buy 3G enabled one without going on line, staff very helpful & price reasonable. I got a nexus7 for Christmas. I already have an iPad2, but as anyone knows who has just one tablet in the house, there's usually a fight for it. Not any more, the fight's for the nexus7 now. It does just about everything that the iPad can do and being smaller than the iPad it's easier to hold in the hand and the screen seems brighter and more vibrant. Surfing the web seems quicker. Only downside is that is doesn't hold its charge for quite as long as the iPad2. For the price my partner... (read more)

I once owned an iPad 2, which I bought for £399 in 2011. I liked it, but felt that I did not use it enough to justify the price tag. I used it a lot, but just not enough. After selling it I used a netbook for 6 months, which was much cheaper (£100 used) and could do a lot more. I chose the Nexus 7 as it is literally the barebones of everything Google - it is simple with no pre-installed bloatware; it is blindingly fast and has an impressive set of features. £159 is nothing for such an... Having strolled the web for months reading reviews on which best Tablet to purchase comparing prices and functionality, I finally opted for the Google Nexus 7 Tablet. I have not been disappointed. It was originally for my wife who would rather just pick up and use than go through the desk top routine. It portable, sturdy but light and very easy to use from the minute you switch it on. First class processor was my initial steer towards this tablet (and lets face it there are thousands out... (read more)

My son bought me one of these for my birthday - I have not put it down since! The battery does last a very long time and although I have a kindle I also use it to read books. I often go on the train and have managed to use the wifi on the train to browse the internet. It seems to be very well built and the screen so far has not scratched. Before I had this I used to use a my laptop at home but now often use the tablet instead for most things. The screen is bright and easy to control. I would... (read more)

I travel a lot. I found out I can not connect to get movies, magazine, etc. And connectivity to wifi is not always there. I called and was told because hotels don't always offer strong signals. Also Android is not supported by Adobe reader anymore. When I ask to return the device, I was told it was beyond my 14 days return policy and I not do it. Very poor customer service. I would NEVER recommend it. I can't believe in this day and age a company such as Google functions with this type of... (read more)

When I first saw the announcement for the Nexus 7 tablet I was sceptical due to its lower price (£199) and its smaller screen (7"). But after playing with one in the shop I was so happy I purchased it there and then! The smaller size means that it is both light and easy to hold in one hand. The latest update solved my only annoyance, that being the forced portrait orientation of the launcher. It runs fast, and has yet to crash on me. Running the latest android release (Jelly Bean) means... (read more)

Really like my new Google Nexus 7, easy to use, easy to set-up. Apple are going to have to pull their finger out to beat this tablet!

I read many comments that the Nexus 7 hasnt got this or that and they seem to be written by geeks I guess. Well Ive used the Nexus 7 for the last few weeks and its brilliant. I got one so I could sit in my armchair and browse the web and check my emails, its exceeded those tasks as it also has GPS and Google mapping so I can find all the loacl places I like. With a quad core it runs well and the screen is very good, maybe not as good as the Ipad 3 but plenty clear anough and very sharp.... (read more)

- Excellent build quality - Great Display - Quad Core - Tegra 3 Graphics - £199 including £15 credit on Google Play WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE? Seriously this is a great tablet and really sets the benchmark for all other Android tablets. Forget the tablets on ebay made by obscure chinese factories and selling for c £100-£150 This is the best £199 I ever spent on some tech. Easy to setup, easy to use and great battery life..... Good job Asus and Google! You now just need to work with the... (read more)
