I have made 2 purchses from this company, both of which I have had problems and the customer service is diabolical. My first purchase was this laptop which I purchased 10 months ago, it developed a fault within the first month and as per the instructions I called the telephone number provided but was advised it was not a hardware problem and given a different telephone number to call.
I called the number as instructed but after discribing the fault I was advised it would cost £85 to repair, I assumed as the laptop was obviously under guarantee there would be no problem so went ahead and the problem was resolved. I then submitted the details to Ideal World customer services by recorded delivery and after 6 weeks received no reply, I then contact customer service and was advised ther was no record of ever having received my letter and resubmitted the letter via e-mail. I is now 10 months and after numerous e-mails providing proof of paymant and technical reports it is obvious that they are totally ignoring everything submitted and have no intention of ever providing a resolution.
My second purchase was the helicopters and after 2 weeks the rotor mechanism locked rendering the helicopter useless as it couldn't fly. I called customer service and was instructed to return the item and the adviser specifically instucted me to return the item by 'special delivery' and call back with the details for a refund of the cost. As instructed I returned the item by special delivery which cost £24 and called customer service to provide the details only to be advised the maximum they could refund was £10 and to submit details in writing. As instructed I submitted the receipt with a covering letter the same day (26 June), it has now been 4 weeks and unsurprisingly I have no received any acknowledgement.
I am extremely angry at Ideal World customer service and would not consider making any further purchases from this company.
