I have bought several pieces of jewellery from Gems Tv and some have been fine. The silver jewellery seems good value and pretty. However I bought a half carat diamond ring for £190.00 from them and was very disappointed. The gold shank was so thin that I thought it would bend. The ring was not spectacular in any way. However I kept it because I didn't want the bother of sending it back. Stupidly, I then ordered a 2 carat diamond bracelet for nearly £800.00. When it came I could hardly believe it. It looked cheap, thin and greyish. I wore it for a total of one hour and the very thin catch broke. I took it to my local jewellers and asked if it could be repaired. I did not tell him where I got it from. He said that owing to the very cheap design, the catch could not be repaired because the heat needed for the repair would damage the diamonds. He said that the 9k gold setting was more like gold wire and very light and that the diamonds were not good as they were very tiny and did not sparkle as they should. He said it was showy and that that was it. In his opinion it was not worth what I had paid for it or anything like. I have packed it up and am sending it back. I hope I get my money back.
Incidentally I bought a beautiful 18k diamond second hand diamond bracelet from him for £695.00. Looking at the two bracelets together is like night and day.
DO NOT BUY DIAMONDS FROM GEMS TV. Go to a good trusted jeweller.
