poor battery life

“poor battery life”

Takes ages to charge but after 18 months light use (I use a Dyson for vacuuming)the battery won't hold a charge. It would probably have lasted longer if there had been some indication of full and low charge. Its fine when it's going but I am debating whether it is worth buying a new battery. I'm currently thinking of cutting my losses and buying somehting superior.
