Excellent value for money - bought ours new in 2004 for less than 5k this included metallic paint finish, 12 months recovery and 6 months road tax. Incredibly economic and with road tax at 40 per year what more could you ask for. Cruises at 75mph on motorways without any problem.

The fuel consumption is amazing - my average journey is 3 miles to work and I'm still getting an average of 50 MPG, upto 57 MPG when I do a motorway run.
It is nippy enough to see off cocky boy racers in their fiesta xr2's (although I wouldn't like to try and see off a TVR).
All in all I can quite honestly say this is ...

Great basis for a surprise car, the body is ugly but performance on all conditions is great.
