The Royal Oak in Wood Street Village suburb of Guildford is rather Spit and Sawdust. It is a typical old fashioned English pub and both the seating and décor could do with some improvement.the lunch time food is excellent. It has a varied menu with a good choice of vegetables at very reasonable prices. It is real home cooking. Very good value for money.The service is friendly and they serve a selection of cask ales for beer drinkers. we do not think food is served in the evenings or so only... (read more)
