The Cap in Hand sells basic food and very good prices. in additional to the standard menu on certain days of the week they have a Curry day and Steak day. We have eaten various meals here including steak and Kidney Pudding, Fish and Chips, Lasagne, All day Brunch and Ham Egg and Chips all of which have been quite adequate at lunchtime. Fine dining it isn't but it is undoubtedly value for money.the main drawback is the vegetables very little variety. OK if you like peas. there is great selection of cask ales all costing between £2.05 and £2.50 a pint.the conservatory area is bright and airy. The service is pleasant and efficient
