I visited Tesco Extra Salford this morning (09:08:14) and was charged £7,26 for vegetables that should only have cost £2.01. The scales at the till where wrong. For instance a small piece of ginger (according to my receipt) weighed a whooping 0.805kg and I was charged £3.05. The actual cost should have been pennies. Although, I stood at the Customer Services for nearly 30 minutes I never heard an order for the till to be closed or even the scales checked. I was asked to leave the store when I started shouting that they were in effect stealing by not, at least, closing that till down. I have had a promise of a £10 voucher and that the matter of the scales will be looked into by the online Customer Service Team. This could be too late for customers who have already been over charged.
