Brought a bed on Sat 26/07/14 from Tesco store in Westwood Cross Broadstairs Kent
Told we would be contacted by phone re delivery details which did happen. My wife was told the bed would be delivered on the following Sat 2/8/14 but no actual timing could be given. They were informed due to my wife being in a wheel chair could they phone when on the way. Tried to keep track of delivery on the Tesco direct website but couldnt find any trace of the order (using number on receipt).Ensuring the old bed was removed to make room for new bed before going to work in the morning arrived home at 1845 and no bed or any phone call. Following instructions on receipt checked website with nil result, then tried phoning number on receipt and after hanging on for 20mins gave up. Then phoned the store direct using a number on the actual stores website and spoke to a customer service manager who said he would put me through to after sales which would mean a 2 min wait- after a 23 minute wait finally answered and just enogh time to explain problem and that my wife suffers from M.S and now looking as if she will have to sleep in a chair before cut off. All I was able to gleam before getting cut off was he didnt think it had been dispatched. So had to telephone store again to ask to be put through to after sales again. Once again put on hold while waiting to be put through for 40mins without getting through. Finally gave up waiting and decided to actually go to the store a 40min drive away. Reached the store and spoke to a duty manager who stated he couldnt do anything until the following morning. When I queried the delay on the phones he said they were experiencing a unusal high degree of calls. Recieved no explaination why no delievery or phone call so left with no answer to the reason why or what was going to be done about solving the problem . No wonder Tesco are losing so many customers. Definatley wont be going back will look to other stores in future
