Today I visited a newly revamped tesco extra for the second time this month my reason being I hoped it had improved on stock and service levels at the checkouts, as enticipated it has not.The new layout is very pretty but totaly impractical especialy in the fruit and veg dpt for the second week running no stock of new loose potatoes and insufficient staffed checkouts open, so once again we watch people dump their shopping and go elsware never to return, not everyone likes self scan which has been increased in the revamp.
The new layout is not consumer freindly the veg dpt new fittngs do not hold enough volume and as I am informed the staff are not allowed to bring stock to fill up until 18:00 hours,if that is to stop blocking the isles then that is hypocrasy because all the staff are blocking the isles with dot com consumer shopping instead of putting bums on the checkouts.
These problems are down to inexperienced young Management with no customer facing skills to deal with the trading downturn Tesco is experiencing.
You can only blame the tick the box style management that are not allowed to think on there feet.
