I've often purchased items from Tesco, Entertainment and Direct, and have noticed a drop in their service. Twice before, I have had to call multiple times in an attempt to locate my delivery, and both those times it turned out the item had been returned to the local depot.
Now, I pre-ordered a collectors edition of a game, released the 9/3/12, for my nephew's birthday, and I was promised, it will be with me on release date.
The item has not shown up, and I am £100 out of pocket for an Item I was promised to have today for my nephew, and I have nothing to show for it.
I phoned Entertainment up, and was told that the item would have been sent in time for the release date (Today), and would have been done so "2nd class post" I was told it would be by recorded delivery, considering the price by the helpful Tesco Direct colleague at their call centre, and it seems I have two different stories from two different people at the same place.
I do not recommend pre-ordering from Tesco, be easier going into store and hunting one down than waiting for a package that needs my signiture before I can go out again.
