I had recently come to London for visiting, and went to Sainsbury's to buy groceries. After seeing what I saw, there is no doubt in my mind that there are worse employee'/cashier in the entire London, if not UK.
In the Sainsbury's where I attended, there is a parking lot adjacent to the store for customer parking. In order to leave the centre, and pay for parking, you must have bought groceries with a total amount of at least 10 pounds and have the cashier punch the ticket picked up when entering parking. I had bought groceries that were valued at more than 10 pounds, but I had forgot to have my ticket punched by the cashier and forgot to buy a loaf of bread.
Because of this, I deemed it necessary to go back to the store to buy the bread and have my ticket punched. After finding the right bread, I told the cashier that although I was buying (bread) which is not at least 10 pounds, I had already bought groceries few minutes ago which valued at more than 10 pounds.
The cashier [named Pam] did not understand what I was saying, and told me to be quiet and go to customer service. When I tried to explain to her what I was saying, she said "get the hell out of here".
Feeling disheartened, and having my esteem demolished, I went to customer service.
Sadly, my opinion of Sainsbury's has been decreased and will never go to this type of store again. I wish the worst for Pam.
I know the intent of Sainsbury is to give proper customer service, but they have failed miserably.
I regard Sainsbury's with the lowest of respect.
