When I walk into Sainsbury's I feel demoralised. Compared to Tesco, Waitrose and the Co-operative there is just no care.
They employ a large number of teenagers from my area (which is great) but the staff turnover is disgraceful, you see a new face every week. I look out for these things because I used to manage a store myself.
It's because of this large turnover that they don't seem to care about the service they provide, which is then inflicted on us, the customers. When I'm trying to shop it always feels like I am in the way of someone stacking shelves, surely this should be the other way around?
I also do not appreciate the robotic smile and "how is your day going" that they have been forced to say to you on the checkouts, so self-service is for me.
