On reaching the checkout queues at Sainsbury Tewkesbury Road today, there were only 4 open for trolley shoppers and each checkout had at least 4 people waiting with LOADED trolleys. I said to a passing member of staff, 'This is awful - can't someone put more staff out - it will take ages to get served'. She ignored me totally. I went over to her again and said that I did not appreciate being ignored at which she replied - 'I WANT TO BE SPOKEN TO POLITELY SO I WILL IGNORE YOU. I asked another staff member to find the Duty Manager so that I could report the incident. Someone eventually arrived (not the Manager) and I complained to him about the incident. At which time the Manager himself appeard, with a face as black as thunder and told me to move up the line and get served as I was holding everyone up. I was in fact still waiting being behind a customer who apologised to me for holding up everyone as she was doing a whole months shopping - sensible lady! On approaching MR BLACK AS THUNDER MANGER at Customer Service - when I tried to explain what had happened and that I had not been rude but was simply exasperated at long queues and saying I thought my initial contact was a very silly girl - HE EXPLODED. He then said 'she is a colleague and a very good member of staff, how dare you say she is silly - I WILL NOT HAVE YOU SAYING SUCH THINGS. I retorted that if that if being called silly was the worst thing she would ever be called she would be extremely fortunate. Mr Black as Thunder Manager then retorted - I AM NOT PREPARED TO DISCUSS IT FURTHER, GET OUT OF MY STORE. I said is that your last word - he said I AM NOT PREPARED TO DISCUSS IT FURTHER, GET OUT GET OUT.
Charming........... and I thought they valued their customers - seems I was wrong - Waitrose here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god!! I can't believe someone has actually spoken to you, a CLIENT, in such a horrible manner! It's not HIS store. You should have reporting him to the head office.
