I have been a loyal customer to Morrisons for over three years on a weekly basis. Last month, i went to Morrisons to do a big shop as we were going on a camping holiday. I popped into the bank first to get some money out as my debit card is not often accepted by the card machines at Morrisons and then returned to the shop. Whilst in the shop, my husband phoned me and I had to sort out a problem he was having with his business. this took about 25 minutes. I then completed my shopping and spent about £250. I could not believe it when I returned from my holiday to find that Morrisons (or the parking firm that they subcontract) had fined me £70 for going over the time limit in their car park, so i have been penalized for being a customer in their own shop! There was also very little signage (in tiny writing) about the parking policy. I understand that their aim is to keep the parking spaces for shop customers only, but I was a shop customer, in the shop itself. They should have a fairer system of pay and display or something else. My friends, family and I will not be using Morrisons again.
