I am an early morning shopper. Visited Asda at Stafford last week at 7.45 am. Empty shelves everywhere. The meat aisle was littered with trays of meat on the floor. A very limited fresh bread supply. Staff were filling shelves but I dont have an hour or two to wait for the store to get going. Why open if you have nothing to sell? Luckily Lidle opened at 8 am and I was able to buy without navigating an obstacle course, and guess what - freshly baked bread (and cheaper too).
