I have been using Asda for about a year for its slightly lower price and all this changes after the home delivery last week. The delivery was scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30pm on 29th September. The delivery never arrived, and disappointingly the customer hotline closes at 10:30pm. And when I logon the Asda website, it states that my order has been successfully delivered despite the fact that I have received nothing after staying up till late, and I am pretty sure my order was not delievered to my neighbours as the five people in my house would have heard the sound of the delivery vehicle passing by.

I called the customer hotline in the morning the following day. Since it is the first time I encountered a problem with Asda, I have been very polite and have explained the situation clearly to the lady answering my call. She claimed that someone will contact me very soon to rearrange a time for my delivery. No one has contacted me so I called again that night. This is the staff said that their system is currently down and said that they can call me when their system is up and running. I was stupid enough to believe that so I gave her my detail and of course no one has called me.

On the following 2 days, I called twice on 1st Oct and once on 2nd Oct. For the first call on 1st and the call on 2nd, the staff said that they already had my problem in their system and a manager is looking into this. Both promised that the manager would contact me within hours. No one has contacted me so far. For the second call on 1st Oct, their system is down again and I did't even bother to leave my contact detail since I well knew that no one would even call me back.

To ensure that the manager has enough time to 'look into the matter', which I doubt if any staff is actually following my case, I decided to take a break on Friday and the weekend. Apparently Asda do not consider that a customer's order was not delivered after 3 calls a real isuue. What is even worse is that Asda has actually charged me from my debit card. Tomorrow, 6th Oct, would be one whole week from the time my delivery was scheduled. I will call again and make it very clear to them that I consider them to be scamming me. I will keep on going after them until they give me a full refund. I will post again here if I ever can get my money back.
