I am really not enjoying my visits to Aldis lately. On my last but one visit I was standing at the rear of a very long queue to the only till open. Lots of staff around with harrassed looks on faces but still just one till. After a long while with the queue not moving I had to just abandon my shopping and leave. Next visit. Standing at rear of queue with about 6 items. The chap in front asked if i wanted to squeeze in front as he was going to be some time with his full trolley of goods.After thanking him and moving forward I was shouted at by the lady on the till. All items have to be on the conveyor. Pardon I said, she repeated(very loudly)
you have to put all items on conveyor.My intension had been to wait until lt was my turn and then there would have been space on the conveyor. A further shout from the lady. Everyone in the store looking at me all very embarrasing. I decided to move back to the rear once again.When I got to the front on queue I was going to discuss my shopping experience with the check out lady and noticed that her badge said assistant manager.(my god) I never bothered.This is not the first experience of poor treatment at this shop.It seams to me that the staff have lost sight of the customer needs and customer experience.We are customers not emplyees.(1/9/13)
