I was measured up for my suit for our daughter's wedding at the outlet store in Swindon. They were very friendly and professional, and measured accurately.
From there it went completely downhill. We arranged to collect the suit, plus my son's, from the Bath branch and had two emails asking us to collect the suit so went in. One waistcoat was extremely frayed inside in two places so we said that was not acceptable. We asked for it to be sent to us by courier as with only a couple of days to go could not spare the time to get back into Bath. Nobody could make that decision so they called the under manager back from his lunch break, but he couldn't get back for 20 minutes so we wandered around and returned as requested.
Initially it was suggested that one of the sales assistants would bring it to our house on his day off, but as he didn't drive, that would have meant a train journey (not running at the moment) then a bus ride, then a 20 minute walk, then all in reverse. No way could we accept that as it would have taken him all day and was totally unfair on him.
To cut a very long story short, after two very long hours trying to sort out something that could have been done in ten minutes, Bath refused to send a replacement waistcoat to us, other than us paying for the carriage. The reason they cited, and quoted contracts to us, was that we had come in a couple of days earlier than the contract specified and therefore it was our responsibility to come in and collect a replacement for their faulty product. This after two emails urging us to collect them.
Full of anger at their non customer service we took the waistcoat and my son had to make a special journey to Bath to get the replacement. We also found out that the grooms cravat had a cigarette burn in it and one of the other waistcoats also was frayed. Diabolical clothing and service.
The under manager promised to ring my son in law to discuss compensation for the problems, but despite a reminder from Cribbs Causway he is still waiting for that call after nearly two weeks.
On returning five suits to the Cribbs Causway branch, very professional and friendly like Swindon, they were only able to issue three receipts as our two had already been logged by Bath as having been returned. What a shambles.
If you want decent quality and service, don't go to Moss Bros, go elsewhere.
