Gound some of the reviews on this site from early 2011 rather daunting. i can only assume that the pub kitchen went through a bad period at that time as both the occasions I've visited The Swan in the last 6 months, I couldn't praise the food or the service highly enough. My second visit was lunchtime on 16/4/12 and, although the restaurant was fairly quiet, I found the service very friendly and attentive. The only fault I can think of is that the bread was a bit late arriving at the table but that really was a minor point. The food was every bit as delicious as the first visit and I will certainly visit again in the future and also recommend to friends.
