“Late Payment Fee”

Having received a late payment fee and interest went into panic!! and found my old statement. On the front it states minimum payment due date 30 june 12 checked my receipt which I paid cash at the store that I purchased the items from 30 June at 10.12am. So thinking they had made a mistake I called the number at the back of the statement that is for all account enquiries only to find out I am in fact calling India at what cost I do not know. Only to be told minimum due date doesn't really mean THAT you have to turn the statement over and read the IMPORTANT information at the back in the very small writing which states you have to allow between 5-7 working days for it to be processed before the minimum payment due date. If so important I questioned why is it not on the front of the statement. I was very irrate has taken 30 mins on a call to India speaking to three different people who gave me conflicting information one telling me it would be reversed and one saying the charge still stands. I certainly will not be using this card again. States on Debenhams web site that payment is received same day for payments made in store.
