I am ashamed to say I purchased this iron on the spur of the moment after watching a demo at a quilt show. What a stupid thing to do. The handle gets very hot, water flows out when pressing steam button etc. Not happy at all. So sorry I didn't read reviews before purchasing. It's also very heavy.

Did you contact Redfern Enterprises to see if they could help? I did and I had my unit repaired and it works perfectly again. After the first year you have to pay for repairs but it is worth it.
