My husband, not me, was the one impressed by the salesmans pitch and bought the Eurosteam Iron. First off it's made in PRC. Peoples Republic of China!!!!. Not once did the salesman mention that. He let you believe it was made in Europe and of good quality.
Brought it home, primed it, used it for approximately 6 hours and it quit working. Totally quit working. No light, no heat nothing. Plugged into several different places also. Contacted Redfern in Vegas and shipped it back. They received it said nothing was wrong with it, but "out of the goodness of their heart" they would send me a new one. They did. By the way the lady was really nice.
I am a quilter and I need this iron to be on or available to be on the entire time I'm in the sewing room. Every 7 - 10 minutes you have to "let off steam" in this iron. I don't have the time or the memory to go push the button on the iron every 10 minutes. Then empty every night and fill every morning. Then it has to be plugged into a surge protector or the warranty isn't valid. I do and did have it plugged into a surger. Added expense. You have to be really careful to have the steam value turned to off or you will have steam shooting out everywhere.
Nope, don't buy this iron , no matter what the sales pitch person says, it is not worth the money. Bad investment. If however you want an iron that is very expensive, made in china and doesn't work like the salesman got it to work then buy this Eurosteam Iron and enjoy.
