After purchasing two in walthamstow mall,I've had to have two replacements wrote twice to the person I brought them from in the mall,and a till the replacements broke down after 3weeks I've written to him again still no reply very disappointed in this product waste of money!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The TV advert for this product is very misleading in my opinion. It did not clean any of the things it suggested it did on the commercial - it was not even capable of handling a little some water spots on the shower door, never mind baked on grease in the oven! I tried it on the house windows and it shifted as much dirt as it would have just using the water on its own. Brought the x5 it looked great on tv advert. Thought it was good but found it quite heavy & bulky when using the hand held steamer also it did not clean grout on tiles as it said or shower door. Only used it about a dozen times because I brought a cheaper steam mop which didn't soak everywhere & lighter. unfortunately after 12 months it stopped working. Stuck with a useless steamer. What a waste of money. Would not recommend it. I wish id looked at the reviews first. (read more)
“Will only work for a month”

Having had it replaced and the same problem recurring, it astounds me that they are still advertising on tv as being which recommended. I'm disabled and for the first month it was absolutely brilliant. So much so that when they replaced it for me, I bought loads of the mop heads. But within a month same problem occurred and website searches other people experienced same problem. Despite following the cleaning regime, the steam refused to come out. i have use less than 5 times and it is out of order Hot water leak out and it is very hot at the bottom part of the steam cleaner. Do not recommend to buy it again eventhough it is cheaper now by 50%. I previously bought at RM389 and it is selling at RM178. You can see why they are selling so cheap !! (read more)

Liked the sound of this steamer and loved the sales video - but the product does not perform, great expectations that it would but it did not. Not worth the money. It kept on breaking down. I exchanged it three times and each one stopped working after just a few goes. (read more)

Hi I bought my X5 Mop after seing it on TV, as it looked so amazing. Yes it is amazing for cleaning different types of flooring, however if you have the mop set on the setting number 3, it will leave your floors soaking wet. The X5 didn't touch the hard water marks in my shower, on the shower door or around my taps. Please note the wasn't much hard water to remove in the first place. We bought this steam cleaner last week from the Range, mainly to clean the shower and bathroom. What a waste of money , we are looking at returning it to the Range this week. My wet room is only a year old and is cleaned thoroughly several times a week, but we had a bit of black around the bottom tiles so we tried the X5 it was useless it never budged it at all. My husband ended up scrubbing it with a toothbrush, hard work but brilliant result for lots less money. I wouldnt recommend... (read more)

We were lucky to have 18 months out of it before the heater died on us, but we only used it about 24 times! Not a user friendly unit as the non tamper screws prevented me from checking the heater. {Poor value for money, but good when it worked. Not sure if I would buy another one. It was easy to use and saves getting on your hands and knees! A kettle gets more use and lsts about this long! (read more)

brilliant product for the first 6 months, then it happended...its just stopped working! it started overheating on month 7, and the unit was hot that i scalded my hand and arm. I turned off let it cool down - then back on 30 mins later, this time steam poured out of the side seem of the unit, then it overheated and i quickly turned off. Really a v good product. Easy to use and store away. Only problem that once out of the guarantee period we notice excessive leakage from the tank, which made it inoperable. Upon dismantling the steamer it was clear that damage to the water tank was the cause - which appears to have occurred at the time of manufacture and worsened with use. It would have been difficult for the tank to have been damaged to any extent without any visible marks to the outer case ! Pity - as now rather than risk... (read more)

I wish i had never bought this mop. It take so much time to get it all set up and when you do it leaves the floors soaking wet, i have tried all sorts of settings with the same outcome. You cannot clean the shower properley as within 30 seconds you cannot see for the steam. The window squeegy will not make a bit of difference as the steam is soaking the window as you are drying it, plus all the dirt just falls onto the frame. It doesnt clean grout or the oven as stated. I totally agree with everything you have said. What a total and utter waste of money. I would not recommend this product at all. I am currently trying to get a full refund. I think I may have a fight on my hand as according to the paperwork it has to be returned within 7 days. I have used it about half a dozen times and am totally unimpressed!!!

“Loved it but broke twice”

Loved this steam claner, used it once a week to do all my floors. However, Ive had two as they've had to be replaced as they kept breaking. Now do not have one. Im not the only person to have problems with this steam cleaner, at least 3 of my friends are on there 3rd. Im going to try a different brand, there must be a fault with these one. (read more)

This is an excellent product, well designed and easy to use. Unfortunately, it has a design fault such that in three months, we are on our third unit. No problems getting it replaced so far but expensive on postage to keep sending it back. The latest fault means everything works fine except it outputs cold water, not steam.

“loved it then it let me down !!!!”

bought this after seeing on shopping channel. It was brilliant and loved the product when we first got it, great for cleaning all areas of the house. then it stopped working !!! contacted company who replaced without a problem, was so pleased to get it back so I could get cleaning then 6 months down the line second one failed. So disappointed but will not buy another one of this product will look for a more robust steam cleaner that will last and be up to plenty of cleaning jobs. (read more)

I purchased this mop direct from Thane after seeing the adverts on TV. Good points: fast delivery Bad points: steam cleans floors but leaves them sopping wet and I have to go over the floors to dry them!! I have tried adjusting the steam but it is still happening. Blue coral mop head was missing from pack and I called to report this was sent a replacement microfibre head instead!!! I seen the mop on tv, I was thinking about it for a few days as was hesitant as hadn't bought anything from the tv commercials before but I had been after a good steam mop for a while, so I looked on the Internet for competertive prices and all in all it was around the same price, so I thought I'd go straight through thane direct as they are the company on the advert- so I looked on the website and me being me I thought best to give them a call, then I can ask silly questions about delivery... I had seen this advertised on one of the shopping channels and being an eco friendly person and not wanting to pollute our beautiful earth with chemicals and such like decided to give this a go. I would have to disagree, i use it for me Steam Cleaning Business back here in Australia and think its great. never had any issues with leaking water
