Trash, would make a skip look untidy

This is rubbish, I used the mop 5 times (perhaps that's why it's called the X5). The last time I used it it blew the electrics so I changed the fuse and still shorted out so I assumed the problem lay inside. Now I'm a curious person when it comes to taking things apart and curiosity got the best of me and within minutes I had located the source of the problem, one of the pipes that lead from the steam generator had split causing water vapour to cover the electrics in corrosion and dried up crystalline residue from Thanes recommend scent additive. I contacted Thane via email stating what I had discovered, they duly contacted me on my mobile but not to offer an explanation and a replacement but instead laid the blame squarely at my feet, yes I was wrong to take the damned thing apart (this voids the already out of date warranty that apparently ran out yesterday, how ironic and convenient), but to get blamed for scaling it up with hard water (I live in Devon with the softest water anywhere) and since when has limescale been soft? I had emailed pictures to Thane showing the powdery crystals and rusted electrical connections but they still blamed me. They didn't bat an eyelid when I told them I would contact the newspapers and consumer ombudsman, Thane are simply not bothered and are willing to take your money to pay for top notch advertising so that you buy their shoody and to a point dangerous appliances, I dread to think what could have happened if I had continued to use the mop.
Save you money, go to a proper shop buy a hand operated mop, some scented chemicals, some scrubbing things and a tub of elbow grease and do it the old fashioned way, cheaper and safer and a whole lot less time consuming.
