“very very disappointed”

purchased in july 2010, 11th off production line. Had ABI Brisbane x2 before and very satisfied, not so with kentmere. Fridge freezer doesn't work properly it never gets cold enough, Baumatic not interested in repairing. Integrated window blinds do not work they have been supposedly fixed by ABI 3 times and they then were supposed to get suppling company to replace - still waiting! The air vent in the kitchen has leaked and warped the table but because the caravan is now out of warranty ( 1 year for a £38,000 van) they refuse to do any thing even as a good will gesture. We asked for a price to replace the table from Diane in customer services but she never even rang back, nor did she send paperwork to our park regarding fridge freezer and windows which are still covered as we made original complaint whilst under warranty so I will have to ring them again. The out side lights have all corroded, the handles on the kitchen and in the shower rooms are all rusty, the carpets are comimg out of the grippers in the doorways, the sinks in the kitchen are going rusty. I am meticulous with the caravan as it was supposed to be our forever van so I know that neglect has not caused this. Diane said that this is to be expected as it is on the coast!!!! Where else would you put a caravan, surely the elements should be taken into consideration when designing! The caravan is not yet 2 years old and along with the loose internal wall panels looks older and well used when this is not the case. We will replace this van as we are not happy with quality but will NOT buy another ABI van

“Contemporary holiday home”

We purchased the unit in summer 2011. Unlike the previous reviewer we have not encountered any problems. We are really pleased with our choice. The decor is smart and modern, exactly what we wanted. Lounge is vety comfortable with loads of storage. The kitchen is really well equipped and again, loads of cupboard space. The master bedroom works very welll, we like the walk in wardrobe, no need for loads of cupboards that often look and feel cluttered. Having a shower in the ensuite is a bonus. The whole caravan has a modern, well designed, uncluttered feel, a huge leap forward from some of it's more chintzy competitors. We would recommend.

“ABI Kentmere Static Caravan is poor quality & service”

My parents bought an ABI Kentmere static caravan and these are some of the issues they are having. Many faults developing including cracks to an outside panel and the forward wall with the double patio sliding doors flexing worryingly,the whole wall is moving when the wind blows and its very worrying sitting near it, its flexed so much the screws on the outside of the panel are no longer straight and pulling through the plastic! The caravan is now 14 months old and as it only comes with 12 months warranty they are refusing to address the issue. Other faults include internal light fittings falling down when the wind blows and a cracked/split internal door (reported before warranty up and still not fixed). Also there are many bangs and knocks every time the wind blows and the whole unit creaks as the plastic moves! The fitted cooker is also poor quality as the clock buttons for the cooker have melted. These caravans are said to be made of UPVC plastic, but the quality is very poor and for 40k its not nice seeing my parents upset as its their holiday home. Do not expect any customer service from ABI, they do not want to know and will just tell you the warranty is up and speak to the sales agent who too doesn't want to know.
