“All ridiculous”

Had the account for a couple of years and wanted to close the account since I'm no longer doing any trading. On top of the administration charge, there's £50+VAT charge as 'other charges', which I was never aware of. The telephone person proudly said 'that's why we don't let you to withdraw funds lower than £100'. The man also said, 'That's the way we work I'm afraid'. I suppose if you're some sort of big investor, this is nothing, but if you're just looking for an alternative way of ISA, it's probably not a good idea to be charged this ridiculous amount of money for nothing.
