I have been a profitable trader for a number of years now. The only time in the last three years I have incurred regular losses was when using IG. I know somebody else who says the same. Unable to exit trades with messages such as 'this price is no longer available' and 'the market is rolling over' (?) appearing. Charts going blank when my day trade enters profit (IG blamed my brand new MacBook Pro and my fibre optic broadband for this even though I use much more CPU intensive software all day in my day job. I didn't feel like I was trading but felt I was playing a game with IG. Yes they have well branded marketing but they will take your money if you let them. Back on direct access again and no mysterious stop loss hits, blank charts or bizarre reasons to stop you taking profit. Somebody will probably say 'why would they do this if they make their profits from the spread?'. I would say don't be naive and just check the feedback all over the net.
