I recently visited The Bike Company in Windsor and I was really impressed with the friendly nature and helpful service the staff offered. I was looking for a new bike for my daughters 12th birthday, they recommended a lovely bike and also advised me of the equipment required for her to safely ride the roads such as lights. I was initially surprised by their suggestion to add lights as the bike came with front and rear reflectors but they took the time to explain the reasons why lights were... (read more)

Seriously, I have never been to a worst bike shop in my life, firstly as soon as I walked into the shop I was hit by a barrage of swearing coming from a small office, secondly the girl working there, (Hannah) was so dumb witted I almost had to stop her from talking, she was constantly asking the manager (Martyn) for help that I really lost my patience as I knew more about bicycles than she did, in the end I had to leave the shop as I desperately wanted a bicycle for my son so we could ride... Oh my god, I have never been to such a disorganised shop in my life! The Manager, a small man with bad teeth tried to sell me everything in the shop and all I wanted was a simple commuting bike to get me from A-B, I only have a small budget and it seems to me that unless you are riding a new race bike then they don't want to look after you. I don't want lights, helmets or a lock, I already have these. (read more)

After looking for a winter bike I went to the Windsor store to have a look at the offerings they had. For what i was looking for , it was clear i could not find it off the shelf. The guys were fantastic, and took time to go through lots of options and did searches on the internet for me (whilst supplying me with ample tea and biscuits ) I already own a Cervelo S2 and love it, so the suggestion was to opt for a Cervelo S1, a lower cost, ally version of my carbon machine. They managed to get... (read more)

The guy that sold me the bike was actually nice. But I bought lots of stuff, so there were a couple of minor issues: the light that he gave me was wrong; and he sold me the Kryptonite lock boasting about the anti-theft warranty, but they installed the lock and did not give me the documents to activate the warranty. When I asked about the light, they told me to add another 44 pounds for a set of lights. When I pointed out that I just spent 1000 pounds in their shop, and that I got the wrong... (read more)

Booked my bike in for a service to my brakes. They saw my bike beforehand and gave me a price for the small job. When I went to pick my bike up, they had changed the price of the job, saying it took longer and was more complicated than they thought. Did they not think of phoning to advise me of this before they went ahead, like a car service co would do? They also charged me for a full bottle of fluid, which was only partially used. I explained that they had given me a quote on... (read more)
